Social Justice Warrior Doug Ford Wants COVID-19 Price Controls – March 28, 2020
How, do you prevent price gougers during a crisis? Competition that’s how, if you don’t believe in a competitive marketplace prior to a crisis then, you create monopolies and in an environment of economic monopolies in which most businesses are paying a premium simply to be in existence, it’s important to remember that a crisis is probably the only chance most of these overly-taxed and overly regulated small businesses will ever hope to turn a real profit.
I personally don’t know what it’s like to wake up at 4 am every morning and possibly make no profit for weeks! That’s how it is for small businesses in Ontario and let’s not forget that Justin Trudeau has yet to abandon Carbon Taxes which are due on April 1, 2020.
I personally know 10 small business owners who have gone bankrupt in the last 5 years! Some are divorced, some lost their homes, some lost their retirements, lost their families, lost their livelihoods, but these small business people are lost and forgotten, even I don’t call them anymore. If a business is price gouging find another business, oh, oh, what’s that you say, there aren’t any more businesses to go to?
Well, you should have thought about that prior to demanding the government raise the minimum wage, create carbon taxes, increase regulations, grow the size of government, run deficits that small businesses have to pay for and label all businesses as tax cheats!
I can’t stand the Conservative Party of Canada, they make me sick, I completely understand why people in Canada vote for Liberals if I didn’t know any better, I’d assume Conservatives are nothing more than mean spirited Liberals who are cheap. Because in times of crisis, Conservatives turn into cowards, the do it every single time!
The reason why folks like me talk about free markets and cutting regulations is because of times like these! Times like these when people have fewer options, I assume the public imagines that these small businesses don’t have their own families? You know what a small business could do is simply close its doors and keep all the stuff it bought for its store and be selfish and give it all to their families!
The stock you see in any store, yea, the owner bought all of it already, possibly the store owner went into debt to buy all of that merchandise! Ontario was smart enough to create a crown corporation for retail Liquor distribution, but no Crown Corporation for essential items? Whose fault is that?
If you’re wondering why I won’t vote for the Conservative Party of Canada this is why! I don’t want to hear anything about morality, this problem doesn’t exist when there is an abundance of options and when Canada has it’s own manufacturing! Do you want a Welfare State Ontario? Do you want your government to spend more than it makes? Do you want to over-regulate and overtax businesses?
Well, the businesses who can survive through all of this have a right to charge whatever they want during crises like these, if Doug Ford or any government has a problem with it, buy them out! Nationalize them, didn’t Trudeau buy a pipeline, during supposedly good economic times to appease Environmentalists? Buy out these price gougers Doug Ford! Show your true socialists colors! You politicians are all hypocrites!
