The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission(CRTC) is more powerful than most Canadians realize, then you have to factor in our public education system, and the end result is SOCIALISM.
A lot of Canadians are socialists and don’t even know it. The current leader of the Conservative Party of Canada has actually tried to CONSERVE older socialist policies, like SUPPLY MANAGEMENT, for example.
The Conservative Party of Canada can’t abandon supply management because “Conservative” Canadians support it. Socialists are CHEAP; people want Big government because they’re CHEAP and LAZY. I’m too cheap or lazy to purchase health insurance, so leave it to the government. A lot of Canadians are so cheap and lazy that they don’t even know that they’re supposed to buy TRAVEL INSURANCE when they go on vacation because they imagine their provincial health care is good enough everywhere they go.
Health care should be free for everyone. I’ll just pay higher taxes; what’s the big deal? Now, if you grow up in this system and you don’t have anyone in your life to counter these STUPID ideas, tipping will feel like THEFT.
How dare this “waiter” or “waitress” ask for a tip? I’m buying food, and they should be happy I’m spending any money in this establishment. I didn’t tell her/him to do this job. These “waiters” should find a unionized job that will treat them better.
It’s stupidity like this that shapes the mind of your average Canadian, and a lot of Canadians TRAVEL and imagine that because they’re Canadian or have a Canadian passport, everyone else in the world should yield to them and respect them, but word travels fast, and now that the world is catching up economically, the Canadian dollar and passport is holding a lot less value, especially now that we’re getting the INTERNATIONAL reputation for being cheap and bad tippers.
I remind you that the world didn’t force us to vote for higher taxes; we did that stupid shit on our own.
