If you’re wondering what’s going on here, it’s pretty simple: the People Power Party of South Korea, which is a Conservative Political Party, is basically trying to implement austerity. However, their president, Yoon Suk Yeol, didn’t win a majority.
In simple-to-understand language, there’s gridlock, and gridlock tends to favor Left Wingers, who, with their censorship agendas, like to present the public who know little about basic economics about how their “easy answers” will make South Korea better for everyone.
So Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law in an obvious attempt to shrink the size of the government, and it didn’t work. One of the reasons I’m fond of Javier Milei, the current president of Argentina, is that he did the research and the groundwork and used his platform to explain the details of his austerity agenda.
I’m Conservative, but the problem most Conservatives have is that we assume that common people should comprehend our message, but it’s not true; the average person doesn’t have the time to comprehend smaller government, and if you think by declaring marshal law you’re doing yourself any favors, you’re wrong.
You’re creating enemies. One of the most annoying things for a Conservative is dealing with Unions and people who believe in PRICE CONTROLS. Believers in price controls are going to not only force the government to spend more but they’re also going to demand more government regulations and CENSORSHIP on things they don’t like.
Now, Left-wingers, from an economic perspective, are blissfully ignorant, and especially in this era, they don’t even know when they’re fighting for things that put the stability of the entire country at risk, but hey, it is what it is.
What Yoon Suk Yeol did was wrong, but it’s pretty obvious why he did it when you look at his agenda vs. the opposition’s agenda. The CBC article above published their content because the opposition is LEFTISTS, and because the CBC is hard left and the Conservative Yoon Suk Yeol clearly made a mistake by declaring marshal law, the CBC as this as an opportunity to show how tyrannical “conservatives” are.
With that said, a warning to Conservatives: it’s best to start your ground game running and anticipate that it might take about a minimum of 10 years before anyone comprehends anything you’re saying. South Korea has a lot of Leftists, and fixing their economic problems won’t happen overnight.
