You can’t seriously read the article below and not be a little frightened about government over-reach? No, seriously consider reading the article below and take a moment to think that the U.S government can now control your car. Now, how this is being presented is that it will prevent drunk driving, but I want you to really think about this technology, that will be able to detect and stop drunk drivers? Meaning that something external with a central command center will be able to control your car.
Most modern cars already have GPS installed, which makes it easy for you to be tracked, but in most instances, GPS is an optional upgrade, the U.S Federal government wants to make it illegal for them NOT to be able to spy on you. I hear what you’re saying, what’s the big deal I don’t drink and drive, I don’t have anything to hide, I trust the government.
Edward Snowden revealed the government was spying on people years ago, and technology has advanced since then, this merely makes it official and it’s very sad that these things are even being proposed. Mothers against drunk driving have destroyed many lives and drunk driving has only increased because criminals do not care about the laws, in fact making something taboo makes the situation worse.
We’re not talking about legalizing drunk driving, this is about corporate welfare and tracking people. These detection devices will not only allow the government to spy on you, but they’ll also have a CORRUPTABLE central control center that all taxpayers will be responsible for financing, so now instead of state driving laws, Americans will be burdened with additional FEDERAL driving laws. The growing Nanny State continues!
