Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the perfect example of a Champagne socialist, her upbring isn’t one of poverty and struggle, it’s one of privilege bad decisions. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can relate to the white privileged indebted students who find themselves in student loan debts. Despite what many might think the vast majority of student loans come from individuals who could have paid their way through college if they simply got a job and/or saved.
In many instances, it’s actually the parents’ fault why the students had to take out these student loans and I always find it interesting that the colleges and universities that artificially raised their tuition costs when they knew they were going to get guaranteed student loan money from the government are ignored in all of this.
But Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a politician so the morality nor the current corruption nor the people who won’t get a free education and in some instances are now homeless are not the topics of discussion when we’re talking about who Joe Biden should give relief money too? Instead, we’re talking about people who got to experience college getting it for free while the rest of us who either paid for college or didn’t qualify for college pay the bill?
It’s not like there will be no economic backlash if student loan debt is forgiven. The main reason why there’s so much homelessness now is that in response to the minimum wage hikes which sent jobs to China and other places around the world, the people without an education now need in many instances some form of higher education to even qualify to do any job.
Prior to the government over-regulating the economy, finding a job was easy, and because it was so easy the cost of living was lower because as Karl Marx points out the capitalists drive down wages and prices. It’s the government that makes prices and wages higher.
But you see that’s not important because champagne socialists prefer the spotlight, they go after POPULAR issues that all the popular folk are talking about. The popular solution to all problems is that the government should pay for everything, most people forget who finances the government, but this is where society is now, we’re in the champagne socialist era.
I personally refer to this era as the ‘Late Stage Socialism’ era, it’s when the economics are thrown out the window and people simply embrace new ideas because the socialists believe that humanity has finally conquered that silly and very boring economics debacle. This often leads to world wars as investors will be cheated and the morality of society lost!
The creation of fiat money has of course delayed the inevitable, but I think the DOW hitting 30,000 while the U.S dollar continues to slide tells me all I need to know about the future of the United States. Nobody assumes that the DOW hitting 30,000 is a sign of hyperinflation. These are indeed the good times so pour yourself a glass of champagne at the expense of someone else!
