Suppose Your State Promises Free Housing and Government Welfare. In that case, More Homeless People Will Migrate To California: Jason Elliott says, “We need 2.5 million more units in California,” No, Jason, You’ll need a lot more! – July 12, 2023
All it takes is a bad day, week, or month for a person to end up homeless and on the street, so before you judge any American homeless person who migrates to California seeking free government handouts, remember that what you’re witnessing in California is one of the many FLAWS in democracy.
We have first to look at what led to a DEMAND for a politician like Gavin Newsom, a politician with the look, temperament, and personality of someone who could be the next President of the United States. Before you get excited about Gavin Newsom, who, by the way, is a businessman, and likely comprehends the basics of a market economy.
One has to ask the question of why Gavin Newsom has enacted ECONOMIC policies that ATTRACT homeless people. As an example, Joe Biden as president, has also attracted homeless people with his OPEN BORDER policies. If I live in a third-world country with a corrupt SOCIALIST government, and Joe Biden is leaving the U.S. Border wide open, why shouldn’t I take the risk? After all, what do I have to lose?
The U.S. federal government is promising all sorts of government welfare for illegal migrants, and it’s much better to be poor in America than in Venezuela. So if I’m an American homeless person, would I rather be lost in Michigan or Homeless in California?
So what you have in California are a lot of homeless people MIGRATING to there because of the EXISTING welfare programs. Oddly enough, when interviewed Jason Elliott doesn’t make this a priority. Even Kamala Harris had a speech regarding illegal aliens in which said “Don’t Come!”
Can Jason Elliott tell the ever-growing homeless population in America to stop coming to California? Ofcourse not, because it would undermine all their silly claims that they want to solve the homeless crisis.
First of all, building ANYTHING in California is extremely expensive and takes a lot of time because of existing STATE and municipal regulations. So what costs 1 million to build in most Republican States with fewer regulations will cost 10 times as much in California.
The Democrats are pro-labor unions, and well, like it or not, labor unions drive up costs to build housing. That’s only one of the problems with building housing. The second problem is if Jason Elliott is actually successful in building 2.5 million more units in California, as that would attract more homeless people from all over America.
You have to also remember that California is a sanctuary State, and currently, Joe Biden is the president and could be president for 5 more years, which equates to an open border policy for the foreseeable future, so if you’re an illegal alien and California has a successful FREE housing strategy, where are you likely to move to?
Homeless people, as well as illegal aliens, aren’t exactly known for paying taxes, so I’m curious as to where the revenue to support and finance this expansion of government will come from.
Are Jason Elliott and Gavin Newsom to blame for this stupidity, or should the blame be pointed toward the idiot voters who hired these two men to lead them?
Interesting times ahead!
