Taxslayer.com Review is it a Scam?
With all the scams out there people have to ask themselves the question who can you trust taxslayer.com is getting a major push by the media so honestly I would be very surprised if it was a scam. All the badges on their website are legit I can’t say much about the testimonials you really never know about those. The only thing I wonder about is why Taxslayer.com doesn’t have a basic free tax return option. Usually these types of tax return software’s have a free basic option but I can’t seem to find one on taxslayer.com
What Makes Tax slayer standout?
I don’t see anything in particular that makes Taxslayer.com standout amongst its competition; I don’t see any special phone support live support or anything that makes taxslayer.com standout to me. Most of the features tax slayer has are available elsewhere add the fact tax slayer doesn’t have a free tax return option and we’ll all I can say is if you want to try it try it. I personally don’t think it’s a scam I don’t think you have anything to lose or worry about by going with them, just from my perspective I don’t see anything special about taxslayer.com
What Tax Return software am I using this year?
This year because of complications to my taxes I won’t be using any Tax software this year I will be seeking the services of a professional. If you have complicated taxes or a complicated tax situation I recommend you do the same. That being said if have an average tax situation tax slayer should do the job just fine.

So looking at the website it does not only the basic tax return plus small business returns for cheap. I returned turbotax and am going to try this site. If it doesn’t work then I can always purchase turbotax again.
I usually use taxact.com. This year I am trying taxslayer because they sponsor Nascar.
It is a HUGE scam–
This is the fifth year I will be using TaxSlayer.com to file both our federal and state income taxes, and I have never had a problem with using them.
I’ve used Taxslayer for the past three years now to file my state and federal returns and I have never had a problem with them. They are NOT a scam, like Jerisquared claims.
I have been using taxslayer for years……..even with a small business. it is so easy and I have never had a problem. NOT A SCAM!
I have also been using tax slayer, this will be my 4th year, and I have never had a problem. Definitely *not* a scam.
They are a scam. They explicitly state the ‘requirements’ for free federal and state filing. My 20 year old daughter earned under $10k* and met all conditions. After their site took in all the information, they dumped her to a page requiring payment to go forward. There was no other link or reason given other than if she wanted to either file or get PDF versions of the tax forms, she’d have to cough up almost $20. $20 is not free and Taxslayer baits-and-switches customers.
(no 1099s or anything unusual – just money earned from part time work and only herself as an exemption).

My family and I have used Taxslayer for over 5 years and never had a problem. Yes it is true that they do not offer anything free but I find them to be the most accurate and helpful. They respond to questions vis email within 2 hours instead of 3 days or not at all. I have never been audited nor have I had to call anyone regarding issues. I highly recommend them to everyone. TurboTax and Tax act are also good ones but I have been loyal to Taxslayer.
