The Conceptual Age: As God Reveals Himself, The Devil Will Do the Same – August 22, 2025

Posted on August 22, 2025 by RichInWriters

Throughout history, one of humanity’s greatest challenges has been the control of information. In earlier eras, knowledge was often confined to elites, hidden away from the masses. As we enter the conceptual age—a time when tyranny is easier to recognize and truth is harder to suppress—the enemy works even harder to push us into ignorance.

Ancient Lessons in Information and Power

Consider Egypt. The Egyptians left behind massive monuments as symbols of their greatness, but information in their society remained tightly controlled among the ruling elite. This was true in much of North Africa and, strikingly, even in the region near ancient Israel.

What made Israel unique was not military might or wealth but the scribes. Starting with oral traditions and later with Moses—educated as a prince in Egypt—Israel’s story was preserved through written accounts. Whether one believes the Hebrew Bible is divine truth or ancient literature, its writers were inspired. Unlike Islam, which demands unquestioning belief in the Quran as a “perfect” text, Judaism and Christianity acknowledge that flawed humans wrote the Scriptures. This humility leaves room for debate, reflection, and growth—qualities that keep societies vibrant even after defeat.

Ignorance, Censorship, and the Devil

So who is the Devil in this modern age? Is he ignorance, censorship, or both? People have the right to be ignorant, to worship false gods, or to reject God altogether. But when ignorance is used as a weapon to control others and enslave God’s children, Scripture makes clear that judgment follows.

Tyrants always create new containers for oppression, and history shows that God sometimes allows the devil to work through powerful individuals—just as Judas was overtaken. Whether this is permitted because Christians fail to share God’s Word or because it was always part of God’s plan, the reality is clear: some will choose truth, and others will choose deception.

The Conceptual Age and Declining Societies

This conceptual age is hard to interpret without the guidance of Scripture. Even in advanced societies, we cannot force people to act a certain way. Today we are witnessing self-imposed population decline, driven by a culture that either believes we’ve reached humanity’s pinnacle or has lost its spiritual foundation.

Governments now reward idleness and counterproductivity more than productivity. As Christians, we know our allegiance is not to big governments or man-made kings, but to Jesus Christ, our true King. Wherever Christians are present, societies flourish. When Christians leave—or lose influence—decay quickly follows.

Atheists and secularists may build their own codes of ethics, but these are shifting sands compared to the eternal truth of God’s Word. When non-Christians dominate leadership, societies inevitably drift into chaos.

The Danger of Centralization

Future Christian societies must learn this lesson: power cannot be centralized. Our current systems are top-heavy, giving secular elites the ability to redefine property rights, education, and morality for their own agendas. This is how the devil gains ground.

History provides warnings. Egypt and Rome were once great civilizations, but when the people stopped seeing value in preserving them, they collapsed. Without records from the common people, only the elites’ self-glorification remained.

Christianity, however, thrives on open access to truth. When priests in the past tried to monopolize the Bible, Christianity fractured. But now that anyone can own and read a Bible, the monopoly is broken. Each believer can encounter Christ’s love directly, choose ignorance if they wish, or embrace wisdom and build the Kingdom of God on earth.

Final Reflection

In the conceptual age, everyone is given the chance to choose their path. Only Christianity offers a framework that resists censorship and encourages freedom, debate, and growth. By acknowledging our flaws, learning from Israel’s story, and following Christ, we can recognize tyranny, resist deception, and live as God intended.

Consider making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior today.
