The War on ‘Family’: Ontario’s Secular School Boards and the Quiet Tyranny of Atheist Governance
A New Front in the Culture War
In May 2025, reports surfaced that an Ontario school board informed staff that the word “family” is now considered racist and harmful. Yes—publicly funded educators in Canada are being told to question or abandon the use of one of the most foundational human concepts. A word that once meant protection, love, and lineage is now labeled offensive. This is not a mistake. It’s part of a larger, calculated cultural shift.
If you’re wondering where this mindset might be coming from, it’s rooted in a secularist impulse to “fix” perceived inequalities—but without faith-based leadership, their solutions tend to create more harm than good. Yes, some children may not come from traditional families. Some are adopted. Others grow up without strong support systems. But many of these same children develop more drive and personal strength than their peers precisely because of their adversity. What stifles that potential isn’t a lack of “inclusivity”—it’s government overreach.
Take the Ontario teachers’ union, for example. This powerful political bloc often acts as a barrier to competition in public education. Economically, that means students—many of whom may want to one day become teachers—are often shut out of the system. Job security for existing teachers becomes more important than creating opportunity for future ones.
The truth is, most young people don’t want coddling—they want opportunity. If they have economic freedom, they can find mentors, hire coaches, or pursue personal development. Instead, in Ontario and other parts of Canada, children are being taught to worship political agendas that benefit the people promoting them—not the students themselves.
This is why I always remind people: Christianity is not a religion—it’s a system of governance. Judeo-Christian values were designed to enrich entire societies by empowering individuals, families, and communities through faith and responsibility. In contrast, these secular movements often mask economic self-interest under the guise of social progress. But the fruit of their governance tells the real story: censorship, dependency, and decline.
The Secularist Agenda in Public Schools
Public school teachers in Ontario operate with monopoly power, particularly through their unions. Many of these educators are secularists, with atheist or humanist ideologies guiding their actions—not faith, not reason, and certainly not accountability. And increasingly, their mission isn’t just about education—it’s about ideological domination.
Secularism in education has become a Trojan horse for social reengineering.
Christianity Isn’t Just Religion—It’s Governance
Modern society has lost sight of the truth: Christianity is not just about spiritual salvation. It’s about structure, order, and leadership. The Bible calls for men to lead—not as tyrants, but as servants of God. This structure is what kept society grounded. The moment we let go of this structure, confusion took its place.
Islam is growing in the West not just because of immigration, but because Islam offers governance, identity, and moral clarity—something secularism destroys under the guise of freedom.
The Feminization of the Bureaucracy
The Ontario school board, like many bureaucracies, is now overwhelmingly female-led. This is not inherently bad, but there’s a dangerous correlation between secular governance and a rejection of masculine leadership. The Bible warned us: Eve was deceived first, and Adam followed. He followed not out of weakness, but out of love—and that love cost him dearly. His workload increased. Sound familiar?
Women are naturally attracted to the idea of freedom from structure, and left unchecked, this desire becomes a systemic rejection of accountability. Now, backed by big government and censorship, some are governing like unchallenged monarchs.
Humanism Is Tyranny Dressed in Compassion
Secular humanists believe man is the measure of all things. They reject the God of the Bible and instead worship state power, ideology, and emotional impulses. This explains why Left-wing atheist bureaucrats are willing to censor truth, deny biology, and redefine common language—because they believe they are gods.
They also believe hostile cultures can be “bought off” with free stuff—open borders, welfare, and moral relativism. But you cannot bribe ideologies that are stronger than your own, and many secularists don’t realize this until it’s too late.
A Cultural Awakening Is Our Only Hope
If you think government will save you, you’re mistaken. The only way to reverse this moral erosion is through a cultural and spiritual reawakening. That starts with you.
Christianity offers volunteerism, not tyranny. We don’t force our values—we invite you to embrace them. But that invitation needs to be extended clearly and confidently, especially now as our nation’s foundation is being chipped away by bureaucrats who believe family is hate speech.
Canada doesn’t need more laws. It needs men and women with the courage to stand up, speak truth, and return to the values that made civilization possible. If you don’t believe in Christ, I urge you to reconsider. Because politicians won’t save you from this. Only God can.
