This caught me by surprise: McDonald’s Japan has temporarily suspended sales of medium and large fries, after a delay to potato imports – January 10, 2022
From what I know Japan imports a lot of potatoes from the United States, I’m not sure if their potato shortage is via the U.S but this is an interesting shortage that I didn’t even think about. I knew all shortages are possible, but this one really hits home, because this is McDonald’s and well, in the back of mind I assumed potatoes were abundant.
Because of the mass fear governments and media have created, this economic deflationary event with the all the unnecessary regulations on the economy is going to create all sorts of unexpected shortages. There are shortages I’m well aware of, but then there are shortages like this one, which I would have never expected
