The out of touch nature of celebrity protests: Twitter ‘walkout’ planned, boycott Twitter for 48 hours, starting on Monday morning – July 26, 2020,

One thing I personally appreciate about social media is that it’s revealed how dumb most celebrities are. Prior to the internet and social media, way back when television was the name of the game, celebrities for the most part were viewed as the best and brightest.

People assumed that if a person was on television they had to be smart about everything. If you’re on television almost everyday fans would say to themselves, then this must mean that you’re smarter than most people and I should listen to you.

Well, now that social media is here, celebrities have been knocked down from their pedestal, it’s not to say that celebrities now aren’t making more money than they may have made in the 1960s – 1990s but their influence is shorter-lived, smart people would believe dumb celebrities prior to the creation of social media, I don’t think that happens anymore.

I think celebrities are now being viewed as entertainers and that’s it. I don’t think intelligent people waste their time with celebrity opinions anymore. It’s usually young people and stupid people who follow and obey their celebrity masters.

So some rapper from the U.K says some racist comment and the celebrity response to his racist comment was to “boycott Twitter for 48 hours, starting on Monday morning” LMAO! Sometimes I don’t check my twitter account for weeks lmao! I know a lot of people who prefer Instagram or other forms of social media over twitter.

I’m done, this story deserves no more of my time.
