Ibram Kendi, the media’s favorite race “expert" says: "Every person, every idea … is either racist or anti-racist."
McWhorter calls this CULT-like thinking.
It does sound a little like a cult. Kendi says things like "the heartbeat of anti-racism is confession."
"A new religion has arisen!" McWhorter says. "And more to the point, that it’s a shitty religion."
The religion leads some people "to fashion a victimization identity … a luxury available to people who aren’t really suffering that much.”
