Trudeau government set to boost cash advances for farmers because of his horrible Foreign relations skills – May 1, 2019,
So, the first thing I want to make sure say is, I’m against corporate welfare in all of its forms, but because it exists and it’s the law, you can see based on the story below how the Federal Government becomes a predatory lender based on their disastrous economic policies, that in current Prime minister Justin Trudeau’s case involves social justice and treaty obligations. As I’ve been saying for years, I don’t like multilateral trade deals. Because in a multilateral trade deal or a multilateral treaty there are casualties. If your business is structured around an existing bilateral trade deal that gets affected by a treaty, should you as a farmer in this instance be compensated for your loss?
An argument could be made that yes, you can, however here’s where things get really interesting, what about the smaller farmers? what about the smaller and medium-sized businesses that can’t lobby government when a treaty or a multilateral trade deal affects them? What about those smaller and mid-sized businesses who create jobs in this country that don’t have the resources to lobby government or to be viewed as a victim by the mainstream media, what happens to these businesses when events like the one farmers of canola crisis with China are faced with? Do they get welfare too? or Cash Advances they can write off for years?
This is why I’m against corporate welfare, this is why I only believe in Bilateral trade deals. These globalist agreements are unnecessary. They’re actually a lazy way of doing trade, what happened with China is Canada signed a deal that bound them to detain Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. In retaliation, China not only jails 2 Canadians, but they also stop doing trade deals with Canadian canola. Now, the truth is, in business if you decide to business with a Communist dictatorship you should anticipate that there’s a chance trade could be interrupted at any time and you should therefore as a responsible business person, seek out other ways to sell your product.
But you see because there’s a corporate welfare culture in Canada that’s alive and well, for most Canadians they see privileged big Farmers as victims, that need to be coddled by the government and this, of course, leads to the story below being framed as victimized farmers receiving a loan from the government. Now, if you know anything about business, you’d know these predatory loans will be used as write-offs whether they’re used correctly or not. Furthermore, the “compassion” shown by the Liberal PM by offering a Loan instead of free money, in the publics eyes will be viewed as fair.
So yeah, when people ask me why I think there’s a chance that Justin Trudeau still might win the upcoming election, I hope you see why. This corporate and individual welfare idealism is embedded into Canadian society and in my opinion, it’s going to take an economic collapse for people to understand that the government picking economic winners and losers is a recipe for FUTURE disasters. When you subsidize any industry, during a recession or an economic downturn everything gets flipped upside down, and because of all the price controls and subsidies already in place, what you get is something similar to what’s happened several times in Argentina, which is a currency crisis.
A lot of the market fundamentals in the Canadian economy have been thrown out the window, the reason why nobody is paying attention to this in Canada is that lenders based on Canada’s excellent credit history are still willing to loan us money. There’s a global financial crisis brewing and I can’t stress enough that when the rest of the world economies crashed, Canada’s did not! I get as Canadians we feel like we’re economically untouchable, unfortunately, the numbers are telling a different story. If you’re reading this consider preparing yourselves accordingly.
