I remember when GM laid-off workers the first time, being that I live in Ontario, I worked with a lot of former GM workers and well, one of the main reasons they lost their jobs was because of the short-sightedness of Unifor’s President Jerry Dias. I want Canadians to understand something simple, future profits aren’t guaranteed, this is why when a company offers to pay you out, you take it, possibly try to learn a new skill or find a new job.
Yes, I know and understand the transition can be difficult, but guys like Jerry Dias, they’re idiots who know little to nothing about running a business or making payroll. What Unifor’s Moron President Jerry Dias knows about is extortion, which is the only tactic he’s ever known which is why in response to GM laying off workers Jerry Dias is reacting emotionally the way a mob boss would and he’s gone to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and telling Trudeau to put a tariff on GM cars? Why?
What’s the point, is that going to bring those jobs back? Hey, Car companies if you spend 100 years in Canada and ever try to leave us we’re going to put a hit out on you, we’re going to boycott you, we’re going make your lives a living hell? What type of idiotic adolescent tactics are these? He’s making Canada a bad place to do business in, can’t Canadians see that these Unions aren’t helping, there may have been a time when they were needed, but why can’t Canadians see that the time for these backward thinking union bosses to take a back seat.

Now, in case Jerry Dias isn’t aware there are a lot of industries in Canada namely dealerships that sell GM Cars,
furthermore, Canadian consumers pay for Tariffs, not GM. Why I’m writing this is I want Canadians to remember, that it’s because of Unifor’s Moron President Jerry Dias why Canada got such a bad renegotiated NAFTA deal, Trump was able to back Trudeau into a deadline date because Jerry Dias was one of Trudeau’s main advisors. Canada signed a bad NAFTA deal which in actuality will make it even harder to attract more businesses to Canada and to make matters worse Justin Trudeau is still taking advice from this idiot.
Observe the picture notice whose leading and whose following and then remember who the person was that Canadians(excluding me) voted to be their Prime minister. Union Bosses aren’t smart people, they’re typically extortionist, they prey on the ignorance of the people they represent. Call it what you want Unifor National President Jerry Dias has been an utter failure for the people he represented in the private sector and now he’s representing Canada in trade negotiations?
The man is a disaster, everywhere he goes you find failing industries, now, of course, we know Unifor National President Jerry Dias’s bread and butter are the public sector workers he represents, they tend to get the most perks at the expense of the private sector in which he works his behind off to bankrupt.
I’m not the Prime Minister so I don’t know what’s going to happen, I’m in not against tariffs, but I am against baseless tariffs, based on emotions. There’s no 100% owned company in Canada that builds any cars and we don’t build any cars because we have an unfriendly business climate. The automakers that are here, we’re lucky to have them, but someone should remind Unifor’s moron President Jerry Dias that Canada doesn’t have a world recognized auto brand, Chrysler isn’t Canadian, Honda and Toyota aren’t Canadian and it’s because of morons like Unifor National President Jerry Dias why Canada isn’t a top destination for Car manufacturers. The unchallenged lies being spun by these union mob bosses need to be challenged, it’s really that simple, if they’re not challenged, I’m warning you Canada things will get progressively worse. This guy Jerry Dias knows a lot about social justice, but little to nothing about business.
