Vote Buying: Using Canadian taxpayer dollars Justin Trudeau will contribute $1.3 billion to Montreal’s subway system – July 6, 2019,

Calling it an investment, Justin Trudeau will spend $1.3 Billion it what’s being labeled as a federal investment in an extension of Montreal’s subway system.

Now, for the record, the reason the Quebec Government can’t pay for this on its own is that the Quebec Government is perpetually known as a have not province and it’s a have not province primarily because it’s not a friendly Province to businesses. In fact, if you educate yourself on the Revenue, expenditure and budgetary balance on the Stats Can Candian website, you’d quickly notice that Alberta which has a much smaller population than does Quebec brings in almost same revenue while at the same time having a surplus, while Quebec runs perpetual deficits.

  • Revenue, expenditure and budgetary balance – General governments, provincial and territorial economic accounts (x 1,000,000) QUEBEC – look for: General governments surplus or deficit
  • Revenue, expenditure and budgetary balance – General governments, provincial and territorial economic accounts (x 1,000,000) ALBERTA – look for: General governments surplus or deficit

Why does Quebec run a deficit? Because in Canada we have equalization payments and similar to all welfare programs, paid unionized government employees get paid a rate that keeps up with inflation, cutting the size of government is considered austerity measures(which is a curse word for Leftist) and therefore the thinking beyond expanding the subway is that it will help grow the Montreal economy, the problem with this type of Progressive thinking is that expanding the subway won’t help to cut the deficit because the Progressive, Leftist thinking that created the deficit won’t change with the creation of the subway, in fact, it will make the problem worse. Subways require maintenance, unexpected things happen when you build a subway or extend a subway, again unionized government workers have to maintain the subway and let’s say the subway doesn’t stimulate the economic activity they anticipate, the line extension actually dissolves into an addition to the deficit an addition that provinces like Alberta will have to pay for.

Now, Quebec has also made it clear that they don’t want any pipelines? Now, in my opinion, they’re entitled to feel this way, but on that token, Albertans should be entitled to withdraw from the Canadian federation or stop contributing to equalization payments. Again if you look at the government website I linked to, it’s not like Quebec only made the “have not” list once or twice, no Quebec has been on the have not list perpetually. Now, obviously, if you read the article below, you can clearly see that Justin Trudeau is trying to do in the Federal Election, what Kathleen Wynne did in the Ontario Provincial election, which is vote buying or using his position as Prime Minister to get an unfair advantage over his competition by using his current authority to buy votes with things like an extension on Montreal’s Blue line for $1.3Billion in what’s being called a federal investment. But my point here is if the Have Provinces will be forced to pay for the Have Not provinces, Montreal financially isn’t obligated to pay back the loan.

Western Canada is financing the East and they’re getting nothing in return for it, making matters worse New pre-election spending rules seem designed to benefit incumbent Liberals, so I ask Canadians who may be reading this, where do we go from here? Personally, I thought previously that Brian Mulroney was one of, if not the worst Prime Minister in Canadian history, but now, I’m leaning more to Justin Trudeau getting that title.

This from my perspective is disgusting, what Trudeau’s Liberals are trying to do is an absolute disgrace, I’m not sure what’s going to happen in the upcoming election, but one thing I do know is that Right-wingers in Canada expect Trudeau to be voted out in the upcoming election and if he’s not, I genuinely believe we will see a new Canada. An unfamiliar Canada, that Leftists aren’t going to recognize, I’ve often spoken about a potential Alberta secession movement that already exists, but will probably grow, if Trudeau gets another term. It’s simply not fair Canada, this is not what we signed up for. I hope Liberals will see the error in their ways!
