Just One of the Ways Canada Post Screws Over Canadians – November 30, 2018,

As of November 30, 2018, Canada Post has been legislatively forced to back to work, although some Canadians believe it’s wrong to force people back to work, the truth is Canada Post is still a public utility or a public service, therefore, it makes them public servants. To put things in their proper perspective, in Canada Firemen, Police Officers, Health Care professionals(Universal health care), electricians and few other professions are public sector workers. Now, to put these things in their proper perspective imagine Firemen, Police Officers, Nurses, Doctors, and electricians went on strike?

They could literally bring Canada to a screeching halt, why? Because we as a public have allowed these professions to be monopolized via government legislation meaning that no private company can compete with them. Security Guards or Private Security can’t replace Police officers, think of it that way, therefore UPS or any other courier can’t replace Canada Post, which is why most private couriers in Canada don’t even bother trying. Adding to this problem is that unlike Police Officers, Canada Post is partially profit-driven, which is often what their union CUPW uses as the reason to force Canadian business owners to pay more money, thus making Canadian businesses less profitable.

Now, to better explain myself what I advise you to do is watch the video below. Below is a Youtube video of an American many who is doing something called Retail Arbitrage, which is basically buying something for less and selling it for more, some would call it flipping. The key to what he’s doing is shipping because you see in America shipping rates are competitive. In America, their postal service isn’t the equivalent to a crown corporation, in the United States, the USPS has to get bailout every year, which is how public utilities are supposed to operate.

Public utilities, entities used for the public good aren’t supposed to profit-driven in anyway shape or form because the reality of the matter is that they’re price fixing.

What Does Price fixing mean and how is Canada Post involved in Price Fixing?

There’s only one thing Canada Post is supposed to be involved and that’s postal services (snail mail), why Canada Post, similar to the United States Postal service exists is because they’ll deliver to any region in Canada namely rural communities, but you see if you really thought about that for a moment the first thing that would stand out to you is why do major cities need Canada Post? The answer is they don’t! Most major cities, for the most part, don’t need Canada Post just like most large U.S cities don’t need the United States Post Office, which is why in America their shipping rates are so competitive.

In Canada, around the 1980’s and the 1990’s Canada Post instilled some type of fear into the Canadian Public, they instilled fear into Private Couriers in Canada and legislatively they made it less desirable for the private sector couriers to impede in any domestic courier delivery, which is why if you go to UPS, DHL, FedEx in Canada their focus is international delivery, their domestic prices aren’t even competitive. I work with a lot of American entrepreneurs and what they say about Canadians is that we’re not as entrepreneurial as they are. It’s really that simple.

If you’re reading this and you’ve never read any material written by a Canadian in this way before, it’s because you’ve been brainwashed you’re entire life. You’ve been taught that the government is smarter than you, Unions are fighting for the people and anything government related makes society a better place. The reason why Canada Post has been getting away with this is craziness is because of us, we’re to blame, our parents, our grandparents they stood by idle and allowed these monopolies to form. All the government bailouts, yet and still GM announced recently that they’re considering closing their Oshawa plant.

When GM and other industries in Canada got bailouts you barely heard a peep, in America when GM and other companies got bailout there were protests, marches, coalitions were formed, marches on Wall Street, America went as far as to hire a man to be president that has no political experience. That right there should tell you the difference between Canada and America. You only get what you’re willing to fight for and Canadians up to now have taken the passive approach. Only recently did I see Albertans start to protest what’s been happening to their energy sector for years.

Now, personally I think a State-Capitalist model would be a better option for the Albertan economy, but look how long it took for them to actually stand up and fight? It’s only because their Oil is selling at I believe it’s $10-$15 a barrel that they’re standing up for themselves, but for the most part, they’ve been rather silent, and our silence is why Canada Post has the monopoly it has. Three Crown Corporations in Canada are destroying our economy that I’ll write about today and those are the CBC, The CMHC, and Canada Post. For the most part, Canadians have been silent.

The CBC for obvious reasons will typically only tell Canadians the Leftist or collectivist part of the story, unlike other people I actually believe they have a right to do this, but if they’re going to do this they should do it as a Privately owned media outlet, not publically supported Crown Corporation. You’ll rarely read me writing about CNN, CNN is privately owned they can report anything they want to report.

The second Crown Corporation that’s destroying Canada is CMHC, ask yourself this have real estate prices come down? No! Have rental prices come down? No! So why does CMHC exist if only a few Canadians are benefiting from it? It’s supposed to be a public service.

Then there’s Canada Post now why Canadians as an example can’t participate in Retail Arbitrage (which is only one avenue that could stimulate economic growth in Canada) is because Canada Post is built to serve CUPW and it’s special interests. Canada Post, for the most part, has almost always given into CUPW’s demands, the only reason they’re not giving in now is that CUPW refuses to negotiate their Pension Plan. I’ve stated this before but because I’m trying to provide some sort of education to my readers I want you to understand Canada Posts current pension plan to understand why Canada Post refuses to give CUPW everything they’re asking for.

Now let’s say I work for Canada Post and I contribute $600 per month to my pension (I’m being super generous witht his number btw), let’s say I work 40 years at Canada Post how much money did I contribute to my Pension Plan? $600 x 12 months in a year x 40 years = $288,000 was contributed to my pension. Now for most of us, we look at that and say yeah well if that money was invested into the stock market or some real estate maybe that money could multiply right? Well, yea, that’s what someone with common freaking sense would say but instead of me telling you how CUPW sees it, click the link below and read about Canada Posts pensions for yourself.

Now, because I’ve been on the forefront of exposing this, they’ve obviously had to do their best to keep this information away from the public so, if you want to learn a bit more about Pensions, click the links below to learn about Defined Benefit Pension Plans and Defined Contribution Plans

Defined benefit pension plan –

Wikipedia = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defined_benefit_pension_plan

A defined benefit pension plan is a type of pension plan in which an employer/sponsor promises a specified pension payment, lump-sum (or combination thereof) on retirement that is predetermined by a formula based on the employee’s earnings history, tenure of service and age, rather than depending directly on individual investment returns. Traditionally, many governmental and public entities, as well as a large number of corporations, provided defined benefit plans, sometimes as a means of compensating workers in lieu of increased pay.

Defined contribution plan –

Wikipedia = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defined_contribution_plan

A defined contribution (DC) plan is a type of retirement plan in which the employer, employee or both make contributions on a regular basis. Individual accounts are set up for participants and benefits are based on the amounts credited to these accounts (through employee contributions and, if applicable, employer contributions) plus any investment earnings on the money in the account. In defined contribution plans, future benefits fluctuate on the basis of investment earnings. The most common type of defined contribution plan is a savings and thrift plan. Under this type of plan, the employee contributes a predetermined portion of his or her earnings (usually pretax) to an individual account, all or part of which is matched by the employer.

Take a wild guess which pension plan the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) is fighting to protect? I’m not going to tell you because the information is available on Canada Posts website, and I don’t want to give you information that you can discover on your own. But this is why Canadians pay ridiculous postal prices, we’re to blame for this, we’ve said nothing, we’ve been silent, I’ve been saying for years in the best way I can write it, that Canada Post is helping to destroy the Canadian economy.

However I put most of the blame on CUPW and the people they represent, recently Unifor president Jerry Dias (as of November 30, 2018,) helped GM in its decision to consider abandoning GM Auto manufacturing in Ontario for good. Union mob bosses aren’t really good at building or maintaining businesses, which is why they become Union mob bosses, to begin with. What Unions are good at is making businesses less profitable, Unions typically prefer the Public Sectors because there’s money for them to extract.

One of the reasons I can say with absolute certainty that Justin Trudeau is an economic Moron is because one of his advisors to the USMCA(Formally NAFTA) trade agreement was Jerry Dias. Now, and I want you to really think about that. Justin Trudeau’s advisor on trade was a Union Boss, Not GM itself but the Union boss that helped to destroy GM. Don’t believe me read the articles below, these articles were written by the way from people who actually get paid to report the news.

  • Justin Trudeau, Chrystia Freeland call new NAFTA deal ‘a victory’ but warn challenges remain – By Amanda Connolly – Global News

  • ‘Game-changer’: Labour groups claim clout in NAFTA talks – Kathleen Harris – CBC News

So, yea, if you haven’t noticed the sheer incompetence of what is destroying my beautiful country, then you’re not going to understand my frustrations.

The Economies of Scale Argument Debunked

If you fell for these stupid economies of scale arguments, then I’d like you to explain why other countries like the United States, for example, can ship a parcel destined to Canada for less money than a Canadian can ship. I’ve often written about ePacket which is Chinese owned, they’re having all types of fun with Canada Post, they ship PARCELS for way less into the Canadian market with a tracking number than any Canadian could ever dream of shipping in Canada using Canada Posts snail mail, which by the way doesn’t include a tracking number.

Now, I’ll hear the others saying well stupid, China and America have more people than Canada does? Yea, well being that I’m Christian and I do missionary work, contact some people in some third world countries, with fewer people than Canada has, it might surprise you to know what they can ship into Canada for less than a Canadian can ship within Canadian borders.

Returning to the subject of Canada Post and USPS, why Donald Trump was focusing on us in the manner in which he was, is because the truth of the matter is Communist China gets more perks into the Canadian market via Canada Post than Americans do, often tariff-free I might add, because our stupid tariff system is based more on money than it is on value. So because China’s products in money terms cost less, they get charged fewer tariffs than American made goods get charged.

I’d have to do more research on why our tariff system is the way it is, but my guess would be it has something to do with one of the many globalist, multilateral trade deals these moronic Canadian politicians keep signing. Anyway, my purpose for writing these posts is so Canadians can make these connections for themselves.

In closing

In closing in case you didn’t care to read this post in its entirety, if you’re wondering why Canada Post is ruining the Canadian economy it’s because they have no competitor, the prices Canadians pay Canada Post are based on a magic number that Canada Post believes is justifiable, in America, USPS has a competitor called UPS and others, and UPS in America although not perfect keeps USPS inline and forces USPS to have competitive where need be, which is why prices are competitive and why USPS frequently needs bailouts! Bailouts are a sign of businesses being run by incompetents, and there are many jokes Americans have about USPS.

Postal Services deliver anywhere, but if you live in a major city, the truth is you don’t really need them, it’s Rural areas that need Canada Post and that’s why in America, at least for now, their Post office isn’t profit-driven, they’re supposed to be bailed out, it’s common knowledge in American society that governmental services aren’t efficient, why shouldn’t they be? If I monopolized or controlled an entire industry why would I be efficient, what’s the incentive for me to be efficient? Spoiled children are spoiled because their parents make those children believe that resources are infinite, so when those children break things or waste things they do so because their belief is that there’s more to come.

I challenge you to ask CUPW controlled Canada Post employees if they know what a Defined benefit pension plan is? How does it work? How they’re paid from it? Where the money comes from etc.? What you’ll want to pay close attention too is their lackadaisical response to the question, most of them will shrug it off as no big deal.

What keeps USPS inline is that they need bailing out, they have profit-driven competitors that offer similar services for less money, in America it’s common knowledge that their Post Office is ineffectively run, this is common knowledge in America, many Canadians are only now becoming aware of Canada Posts incompetence, Canadian big government incompetence, and public sector incompetence.

Am I alone on this?

I hate going to government offices, do any Canadians really like going to a government office? or any offices related to the government? Even people on welfare hate going to government offices, who in their right mind wants to go to a government office? When is going to a government office or institution ever a good idea? when is giving the government more power ever a good idea for a society?

No offense to those of you sending your children to public schools, but there’s no way in hell I’d ever put my children through a public school. If I have to work 3 jobs until I’m dead with 4 insurance plans that’s what the hell I’m doing. But hey, a large segment of the Canadian population as it stands now like big Government, I on the hand prefer government small, with the exception of a few environmental regulations and some regulations preventing corruption, I’m anti regulations anti-big government, do you know how much more Canadians could do for the world, for the environment if Government wasn’t in the way.

I meet all these smart teens every year, they’re stuck, nobody will hire them, they’ve taken the wrong course in college, they’re in student loan debt and because of government regulations setting the economic bar so high, it’s too expensive for these kids to learn a skilled trade or even work as an intern. All of this stuff happens because costs go up, costs go up primarily because Public Servants get paid by the hour and the pay of most public servants far exceeds the pay of those of us in the private sector. Costs also go up because when the government makes a mistake it doesn’t go bankrupt, nobodies ever held accountable in government. I’ve seen destructive Canadian politicians doing news interviews like as if they didn’t contribute to the destruction of my country.

People forget almost every public sector in Canada receives a bailout every year via taxation, the difference is Canadians have gotten used to paying for it. Public Servants get paid hourly and they get paid at the expense of the Private sector, sure public servants pay taxes too, but again their paychecks come from the private sector. Canada Post’s profits come at the expense of the Private Sector and Canadian consumers, CUPW a special interest group a public sector union are basically stealing from productive Canadian businesses and giving the money to the people they represent.

A lot for jobs that could have been created all over Canada can’t be, because Canada isn’t competitive, a lot of Canada Post employees who would otherwise get a pay raise can’t, because after all CUPW engages in collective bargaining, this, of course, means that the productive, the competent, pay for the less competent, the less productive.

This frivolous complaint about gender equality from CUPW is a lie, some women at Canada Post are competent and a whole lot more aren’t it’s really that simple. Most of their members know it, it’s a well-known fact that a lot of women simply turn down jobs that men do, there’s no shame it, but it’s a bold lie and all Canada Post members know it.

Can women lift as many pounds as men do on average? especially older women who aren’t exactly in tip-top physical shape? Tenure exists in the public education system for a reason and if you have common sense you can see why don’t forget that in the public education system a vast majority of the teachers are women!

Why do I bring up tenure is because that’s the reasoning behind CUPW holding a firm grip on their Defined Benefit Pension Plans. Being that I’m in business and I know a bit about pension plans, The real problem with Defined Benefit Pension Plans is keeping up with inflation, this is the major reason why prices at Canada Post are so high, this is why they’re careful not pay their employees too much money.

It’s not so much that Canada Post doesn’t want to pay it’s employees more money it’s that they can’t. Do you not notice how I’m going back and forth with CUPW and Canada Post? I’m not defending Canada Post, I’m not a fan of Crown Corporations, what I’m trying to explain to readers is that Canada Post would pay their employees more money if they could! The reality is THEY CAN’T!

The real reason CUPW doesn’t want to abandon their Defined benefit pension plan is that once that’s gone, what reason does CUPW have to exist? From an outside perspective, Canada Post is very generous to its workers. I’ve also spoken to the competent Canada Post workers, they hate CUPW, they know their pay would increase if CUPW wasn’t there, but you see here’s the thing, a lot of people don’t read, readers are leaders, and well the punishment for not reading is you’ll typically have a lower IQ, and you’ll tend to assume things instead of doing your own independent research.

Lower IQ people tend to believe and trust anything your their leader says because they’ll assume their union leaders are smarter than they are, Can you blame them? So in closing, this is why Canada Post is ruining the Canadian economy, low IQ, dishonest Union leaders, the people they serve and also people like me for not figuring out how to get through to the Canadian Public in a way that will make my country more prosperous.

If you have kids, I’m writing to you, we have to put an end to these monopolies soon. Otherwise, our children won’t enjoy the lives we did. This is a very serious matter, skilled trade jobs are leaving our country, manufacturing is leaving our country and once these jobs are gone and we’ve made life so expensive for ourselves via regulations our standard of living will decrease and diminish rapidly, skilled tradespeople, people who make and manufacture things, the people who maintain our infrastructure, these people aren’t easily replaceable. These people are leaving Canada and their replacements, well… I’ll leave it there. Please, Canada wake up soon before it’s too late!

Interesting times ahead
