How a Wexit Party and the People’s Party of Canada could Help the Conservative Party – July 5, 2020,
I’ll be honest, I’ve been disappointed with Alberta as it relates to the Wexit Party, I thought Albertans would have understood by now, that splitting the vote is a myth. Okay, sure maybe the Libertarian Party of Canada is a little too conservative for some Canadians, but splitting the vote hasn’t hurt the Conservatives one bit.
It’s not like a People’s Party of Canada or Wexit Party of Canada is going to oppose motions brought forward by the Conservatives, it’s unlikely that any Right-wing party when the pressure is on the line won’t make concessions with Conservatives to pass a conservative bill that’s good for the Canadian economy.
The fear of another Right-Wing Party is that it will give the Leftist Party’s more of a chance to win seats in particular ridings, but that’s the risk you have to take, the NDP at one point took that risk and the Greens took that risk, eventually, both the Greens and the NDP found themselves with a solid base of supporters and in the end, that’s all they needed to push their agenda.
Without having to do any heavy lifting The Green Party has influenced the Liberals to embrace their Green agenda. If the Wexit party or the PPC ever got 1 seat, the exact same thing would happen. Now, I always say that the problem with the Reform Party was that they quit too soon.
Conservatives prefer working in the private sector, it feels like a step back for most of us Conservatives to become politicians, which are nothing more than Salespeople, there’s nothing fun about politics, I don’t want to be a politician, I love working in the private sector, however, Leftists love being politicians, because, for them, they want to be political rockstars like Barack Obama, Bill Clinton or Pierre Trudeau.
Leftists see themselves as rulers of the people, whereas real Conservative Politicians see politics as a civic duty. With the exception of Jason Kenny and few other Conservatives Politicians, they comprehend that they have to appeal to the voter who doesn’t understand the importance of economics to a nation.
This is hard to do and it’s one of the reasons the Conservative Party of Canada is losing its identity because it’s recruiting candidates who are really Liberals, who can’t stand the Liberal Party. Upclose as many people in B.C will tell you, the Liberal Party is disgusting, B.C is pretty Leftist, but many of them can’t stand the Liberals, because the Liberal party of Canada is to Leftists what the Conservative Party of Canada is to Conservatives and this is why it would be wise for the Wexit Party to take a chance.
Maxime Bernier is taking a chance, he’s pushing forward, it’s worth it in the end, winning without having to lead is actually the best form of winning. The Green Party and he Bloc Quebecois hasn’t had to do any heavy lifting, all they had to be was an irritant, both the Liberals and the Conservatives have to walk a tight rope with the smaller political parties.
Former Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff made the mistake of trying to belittle the late Jack Layton and the Liberals lost a lot of seats to the NDP because of it.
The People who represent WEXIT would be wise to tell their followers that they’re not against the Conservatives, but the Conservatives simply aren’t doing enough, it’s a simple message, that I think will work!
WEXIT or he People’s Party of Canada shouldn’t be viewed as a threat to the conservatives, they’re the best thing to ever happen to the Conservatives.
Interesting times ahead!
