Why Does Lindsey Graham support Amy Klobuchar’s Corporate Welfare “S. 2992, the American Innovation and Choice Online Act”? S.2992 Could Have a Devastating Impact on the U.S economy – January 13, 2022,
I’ve supported Lindsey Graham in the past, but time and time again Lindsey Graham is proven to be a scum bag. What I should say is I support South Carolina, and the corporate welfare hacks that exist in South Carolina are alarming, there’s a lot of money being pumped into South Carolina to enact policies like S. 2992 which you should consider reading for yourself to get a better idea of how that Act serves as a stimulant to the rich enterprises and basically keeps small businesses out of the Amazon marketplace.

To give you an overall understanding of how S. 2992 revolves around Amazons Prime Service, now obviously the Merchants who benefit from Amazon Prime are typically smaller merchants, who don’t want to ship products from their homes and instead send those products to Amazon to ship for them, well this “Act” would basically make Amazon FBA illegal? Which equates, to Amazon, potentially dissolving into something entirely different.
It’s not to say that Amazon, would cease to exist altogether, but instead of Amazon FBA revolving around assisting small businesses, Amazon might dissolve into more of an older model establishment in which only the large companies work directly with Amazon thereby kicking out all the smaller mom and pop shops that sell on Amazon’s platform. I had been writing about Private Labeling for this very reason years ago because what’s been happening is that believers in monopolies have been using the Democrat Party to enact policies, that allow greater control over their brands.
Mostly Democrats but a lot of Republicans that know little to nothing about business, are the perfect idiots to enact these policies because most of these politicians are idiots. The one benefit of Donald Trump’s short stint as President was that he exposed how truly dumb most politicians are Most politicians have no idea what bills they support, a bill comes across their desk, maybe they get some money to support it, or maybe the persons who wrote the bill, frame the bill to idiot politician in a manner that the idiot politician only sees the benefits.
A reminder that Amazon nor any business for that matter is perfect, but inefficiencies in any business is what ultimately kills a business, competition, which is used several times in the “S. 2992, the American Innovation and Choice Online Act” is redefined to suit specific entities and exclude smaller entities, which actually assist Amazon in reaching more customers.

So if you’re not paying attention, Amazon has exactly been fighting back against S.2992, why? Because, well, not everyone wants to buy the named brand product, who cares if Amazon Basics has to take a backseat to the larger more well-known brands, you’ll notice in a lot of instances, that Amazon Basics gets more positive reviews than the branded product gets?
Amazon’s Customers often feel more confident buying something that has “Amazon” stamped on it, because after all if you’re on Amazon, you’re buying with confidence because you TRUST Amazon. Now, sure, the idiot senators will make the claim that they’re trying to stop Amazon Basics, but what you have to understand is that Amazon can merely buy stock of whatever sells on its platform.
Do you follow me here? Rechargeable Batteries are the perfect example, Amazon Basics, sells batteries competing with Energizer, so let’s say this act is successful and Amazon Basics can’t sell batteries? Suppose Amazon Basics instead either changes it’s brand or merely buys shares in Energizers competitor? Do you follow me here?
Now, the smaller mom and pop shops actually keep Amazon honest in all of this, as many Amazon shoppers know, FIRE SALES happen on Amazon, sometimes you’ll find something selling on Amazon at a ridiculously low price, why? Because maybe the Small business Amazon seller wants to get rid of some inventory and is willing to take a loss to do so. This benefits everyone involved, but it won’t happen if fewer people are selling on Amazon because of stupid regulations.
Because of Federal zero percent interest rates, which in actuality benefit politicians, more people have found themselves in the Stock Market instead of actually producing goods and services, with the passage of most of these stupid bills the regulatory environment for almost any profitable enterprise is creating a market place in which it benefits all party’s to go big and stay Big.
Who loses if Amazon Basics is forced to dissolve? The Consumer loses, Small businesses lose, Amazon is still going to know what sells and what doesn’t sell, what might happen is Amazon invests more into Venture Capital, now in the back of your mind, you might say that’s great, but it’s not, because a lack of competition drives up prices, Amazon Basics aren’t always the most cost-effective option on Amazon.com, most Amazon Basics products are made in China and as we all know, China is growing because of Acts like “S. 2992, the American Innovation and Choice Online Act” which make it more difficult for U.S Small business owners to compete.
In a Free Market Capitalis society if the government would stay out the marketplace would solve these silly problems
Bargain hunters will always be bargain hunters, Amazon Basics for the most part represents U.S consumers less interested in quality and looking for a Bargain. Bargain hunters LOVE private labels, this will never end, but as people get more wealth, customers eventually want QUALITY, this is why these laws are stupid because the market eventually fixes all things.
Shopify as an example has been working with Walmart to have its own alternative to Amazon, it’s still in its early stages, but it goes to show you that these monopolies eventually fade away. The eBay Global Shipping Program(eBay GSP) is something to pay attention to, because with eBay GSP it’s duplicatable, it’s actually the current U.S administration that is messing up the supply chain which is making the logistics more difficult.
As an Amazon seller myself, I get emails all the time that say “Amazon missed its fulfillment promise” and the customer gets a refund of some sort. If you sell on Amazon, you know that most customers merely want their package to arrive at a REASONABLE time, obviously, Amazon tries to take this to the extreme, but if Amazon eBay and any other competitor can merely get customers their packages within a week, most BARGAIN hunters will accept the time delay for a cheaper price and for those of you unaware, eBay, often has better prices than Amazon, because eBay is more small business-friendly.
As I like to point out, I HATE 5 STAR RATING systems, if there’s a bill I’d stay quiet about it would be 5-star ratings, which are stupid, I’d ban 5-star ratings as humans prefer thumbs up or thumbs down, 5-star rating systems allow your customers to bash you without explanation, some don’t like the change, I like the change Youtube made to its video only showing the numbers of thumbs up to a video.
If a Youtube video has over 1 million viewers and only has 800 likes, that should tell the customer everything they need to know, making things better is that then customers can read the comments instead of looking at the manipulated 5-star rating systems. There are online services, that will take money from people to give a product on Amazon a thumbs down rating.
Now, if a customer has to leave a review and other customers get to read other reviews from this grumpy customer, you can easily find out who is a scammer and who is legit. Because some reviewer accounts on Amazon are there to cause trouble, and on eBay, it’s easier to find out who is there to cause trouble, because, on eBay, your history as a customer and a seller is traceable.
I bring this up, because yes Amazon is on top right now, but this doesn’t guarantee future success, the government need not intervene, S.2992 as written today does more harm than good! Now to all of you people who put faith in the Republican Party, there are almost an equal number of Republicans who support this bill.
Democrats even if they’re well-meaning are idiots, which is why Big Tech and Wall Street love them, Barack Obama bailed out Wall Street if you forget, but let’s also not forget that Donald Trump bailed out wall street also. He sent Americans free money and allowed debts to be deferred, It’s time to get rid of these old idiots, there are too many old people, too many career politicians in Washington D.C.destoying the country.
As I pointed out above not to call Donald Trump perfect, but he was the first business first politician I’ve ever seen, and his slicing of government regulations, led to a boom time for the U.S economy, now, even Donald Trump was pro-corporate welfare, but I hope young people or people who better understand business, can see clearly that it’s time to clean house, cut regulations, and shame these AOC types, who are looking to make Government even Bigger. Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Clinton, these people are all VERY OLD!
It should be more clearly understood by future generations that old big government ideas led to a lot of poverty and a lot of wars, it’s time we end the madness!
