Nearly Half Of Young Canadians Don’t Bother With Cable Anymore – January 8, 2019,
Personally I hate commercials, I can’t stand Cable I live in Ontario there’s a Bell and Rogers monopoly, in America they have their own monopolies and being honest, I hate cable, now if I go to a friends house who has cable I find myself getting anxious whenever I feel forced to watch a commercial. As a young child growing up in 1980’s one of my teacher’s used to call the television the “idiot box” as a child obviously I didn’t understand what that meant, but at that time, teachers used to have teachers assistance, that’s prior to teachers unions demanding higher pay and more benefits of course.
Now, as an adult, I still remember those words from my teacher calling the television an idiot box and it wasn’t until I stepped away from watching television, especially cable television that I realized the negative impact T.V had on my life. When I hear a lot of old people talk, namely older people who consume a lot of television, regardless if they’re Liberal or Conservative they all sound like conspiracy theorists to me. Most of what they say and think revolves around what they’re consuming into their minds and for many of them, it’s very hard for them to formulate constructive arguments, that lead to a life of happiness.
If you’re not strong-minded or strong-willed, when you watch something on television it will often change your entire outlook on life. Instead of working to better yourself most will work to better external forces, many Television consumers will assume they know what’s best for everyone, they’ll assume that the mainstream news is there to help them and will rarely seek additional information, or do additional research to see if what the person on the television is telling them is indeed the truth.
Also as an adult, I can comprehend commercialism, It’s one of the blessings I thank God for, CNN, Fox News all forms of News including social media is trying to sell you on a narrative that could actually be knocking you off your current path. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with this, because I believe in Freedom, however, I do see the need to speak out, because in my opinion lack of knowledge leads people astray and in many ways, knowledge comes from personal experiences, which is why the Bible teaches not to judge. Laws exist, even Jesus Christ followed Roman law, and this is why in my world view it’s understandable why 10% of the people control most of the resources of the world.
The problem isn’t the ruling class, the problem is the people who choose not to educate themselves about the laws of bartering. The laws of bartering mean that nobody ever wins, there are no winners or losers there are only tradeoffs. How you spend your time will determine the decisions you make in life. What I’m seeing is an awakening of the youth and I think millennials will be in for a rude awakening in a few years. The Baby Boomers mainly the Liberal minded baby boomers are fighting like hell to preserve the welfare state, they’re hoping the young will fund their retirements.
This is demonic, this is satanic, however, it’s the world we live in, the Gen Xers and the Millenials have an opportunity to change the world for the better, however I’m not sure they have what it takes to do it, the generation that I know will change this world are those of Generation Z, based on my research Generation Z is growing up in distinct ways, 1 is that of a snowflake and the other is that of Libertarian, there’s, of course, those in the middle that make up the majority, but the problem with millennials and the Gen Xers is their attitudes, I’m meeting a lot of people who are in their late 30’s – early 50’s with horrible attitudes on life and based on my research I don’t think Gen Z is going to stand for it.
I don’t see Gen Zers paying for the welfare state, everything is unaffordable and there’s no justification for it, and the one thing that separates Libertarians from Conservatives or the Alex Jones types is that they will be very hard to get banned from political debate. Ron Paul as an example has been moving along steadily, and his message of peace really resonates with the young. The Alex Jones, Donald Trump types they’re more of a difficult pill to swallow, they’re more confrontational, more of the warrior class, however, combined together, this type of thinking is revolutionary and based on my observation a lot of Generation Z is growing up online and consuming knowledge that Gen Xers and Millenials had to go to the library to learn.
What this equates too, is a quiet revolution that’s going to hit all of us by surprise. I’m not sure if the English speaking world is entirely finished with socialism yet, but we’re getting awfully close to it. People forget that deflation rarely causes wars, deflation might cause poverty, but it rarely causes wars, what causes wars is hyperinflation of the money supply. In the western world what we’ve created is artificial inflation, created primarily by the government, once the realization that the government is causing prices to rise in societies the Gen Zers will rebel. We’re nearing that stage in human development and once it hits society, once it hits the young that the reason why prices for commodities are high because old people want to retire on the backs of the young, there’s going to emerge a Gen Z voice that will end collectivism possibly forever.
Now, that people are watching television less and less, we’ll be raising more intelligent children, who will see the world for what it really is. I mean think about this for a second, imagine CNN and Fox news are being replaced by podcasts and Youtube, Liberal minded people opt for safe spaces on social media while Conservatives opt for more freedom, in the end, I think the Libertarian voice will win out and this to me equals change is on its way
