BlackBerry works best i think the IPhone Might work too what you would do is get people to send messages to directly to your cell phone provider. Example if my phone number was 4169671111 and my cell phone provider was rogers Canada, the sender would send the text message to   [email protected]

You could then have that email address [email protected] forwarded to say your live, yahoo or gmail email accounts. because of the inconvience this could cause most people at the moment prefer using SMS because that will only work if the recipient has the right type of cell phone.

Alternatively if your looking to send free text messages use www.textdem.com as they don’t send advertisements with messages like most supposedly free sms providers do.
