The incompetence of Canada’s FEDERAL GOVERNMENT continues to compound. How does any courier company with a MONOPOLY on courier services find a way to lose money?
The answer lies in the same LEFT-WING politics Canadians have been voting for for decades. Canadian mainstream news is horrible, and similar to Canada Post, it has no competition. So, for example, when Mark Carney recently got a majority government, which he didn’t earn democratically, Canada’s mainstream news pointed the blame at Pierre Poilievre.
No mention of the NDP, which is a CHAMPION of labour unions like CUPW, losing support, and Canadians sticking to their left-wing values, merely seeing the Liberals as a viable alternative. No, the problem was Conservative opposition.
This is the type of linear thinking from people who genuinely believe socialism is superior to math. You have to remember how the left-wing mind is wired: when the left-wing mind hears LARGE NUMBERS, they dream up ways of how and why they should CONFISCATE it. Left-wingers also believe in a STATIC existence. For example, currently Canada’s Prime Minister has a Net Zero agenda, leftists don’t like it when the weather changes, so they believe, for example, that a CARBON TAX and carbon pricing will allow them to control the weather.
It’s the same logic with labour unions, who imagine when they hear about Canada Post decades ago making a profit that they’re all deserving of a PERPETUAL pay raise and perpetual job security.
In the real world of MARKET-BASED pricing, job security comes from a rising standard of living and efficiency, NOT PRICE CONTROLS. Capital makes LOWER PRICES the reward, and the concept behind capitalism is that the dollar you work for today has more purchasing power tomorrow because of EFFICIENCY. For example, a big-screen TV in the 1990s cost $3,000+; it was heavy, consumed a lot of power, and compared to what we have today, it was a piece of trash. However, it was more expensive, why? Because compared to now, there was an inefficient manufacturing process.
Because technology evolved, the price of a television DECREASED. You can buy a 50-inch TV sometimes for less than $200 Canadian dollars, that’s capitalism. But if you’re a socialist, you’re seeing things differently. As a socialist, you’re saying: NO, the people who make TVs need job security and perpetual pay increases, whether or not the old way of making TVs is profitable.
So when you listen to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), it often sounds like you’re listening to people trapped in the 1990s, and it’s that type of thinking why, in Cuba in 2026, they still have 1950s cars. STATIC existence, that’s how left-wingers see the world. They want to TRAP you, imprison you, make you their SLAVE, and as a Christian, you should see the correlation between left-wingers and Satan.
Canada Post reported a record-breaking $1.57-billion loss before tax in 2025, nearly doubling the $841-million loss from 2024. Driven by declining parcel volumes, intense competition, and labour disputes, the corporation has lost $6.1 billion from 2018–2025. The company is now accelerating a transformation plan, including shifting from door-to-door delivery to community mailboxes, to address financial sustainability.

• Revenue Decline: Revenue dropped by $315 million, or 4.7 per cent.
• Parcel Impact: Parcel volumes and revenue fell by more than 30 per cent, largely blamed on labour uncertainty.

Now, if you follow Mark Carney, who, based on our analysis, is financially INCOMPETENT (yes, the banker Prime Minister appears incompetent with money), if Canada Post’s pension seeks a bailout within the next few years, there likely won’t be any money there.
Furthermore, Canada Post doesn’t appear to be in a position to be profitable anytime soon. What they’re trying to do is STOP the bleeding. Canada Post has a Defined Benefit (DB) pension plan, which people like me call a pyramid scheme pension.
A defined benefit (DB) pension plan is an employer-sponsored retirement plan that guarantees a specific, predetermined monthly income for life, based on a formula using salary and years of service. Unlike defined contribution (DC) plans, the employer bears investment risk and responsibility for funding, offering retirees secure, predictable income.
Now, if the employer is BANKRUPT, because make no mistake about it, Canada Post, which has a MONOPOLY on postal services, is bankrupt and is allowed to survive purely because it’s a government “asset”, who or what is financing the pensions? Because there’s nothing predictable about markets, yet the retirees are expecting a predictable income. Make it make sense.
