GetLawOfSuccess.com Scam
I still think “the secret” ripped off most of Napoleon Hills material and compacted it. You really can’t get passed the truth you either believe it or you don’t. If you don’t believe in this sort of stuff you should, because your actions really do shape your life and obstacles should be seen and used as opportunity to shape the person you know you should be.
I worked as welder for 10 years of my life before working from home full time and it was books and material like this that got me into the frame of mind i am in today. i also attended quite a few network marketing seminars as well as motivational speeches preformed by some of the best in the industry. I can tell you from personal experience that books like Laws of success really do help you become a better person.

Another thing I must mention is that this version of the book is published by Orne Publishing. keep a record of the publishing companies when ordering books online it’s one of the ways I can tell if something is a scam.

Is this the infomercial you’re talking about? It looks fascinating!
yes actually
Or, as with th majority of the ‘New Thought’ books that went into ‘The Secret’, you can find this and other Napolean Hill books for free online. Why free? Because they fell into the public domain and have been sitting there for years. Then some crafty person comes along and sells them for a nice little profit.
I have no problem with the profit side of things. But this guy (the one in the infomercial) says that the book is not available online or in any bookstores. Absolute lies.
Get it for free online and then use whatever principles it teaches you.
What your saying is true Dillon but personally i don’t like reading long ebooks online. Also there’s the issue of Trojan viruses or general viruses and spyware that come as a result of downloading free ebooks. To correct you the book published by Orne Publishing is not available unless it’s been or being copied or resold.
The WHOLE Truth?
by Jeanne R. Berry
Jeanne R. Berry
Recently, I saw an advertisement for a book purported to be a republication of the 1925 version of Napoleon Hill’s “Law of Success” 21-book series, condensed into one volume. The advertising claims the rare, unedited 1925 edition predates the 1928 edition, contains the whole truth, and is far superior to and more accurate than any other Law of Attraction book currently on the market. (That’s the Steve Paris Guy!!!) The books and programs offered by other self-development/success educators were dismissed as “watered-down versions of the truth” – including Napoleon Hill’s own 1928 “Law of Success” AND “Think and Grow Rich.”
These seemed like outrageous claims. If the 1925 version is supposedly the superior truth, surely whomever publishes Mr. Hill’s other works would not only have a copy of it themselves, but would have published it already.
I went straight to the source–The Napoleon Hill Foundation–to find out for myself. My suspicions were confirmed. The 1925 version was a working copy – a copy in progress so to speak; in 1928, the series was compiled into the one volume of “Law of Success” still being published by the Napoleon Hill Foundation today. The information contained in “Law of Success” and “Think and Grow Rich” remains true to the original series. Despite similarities in the title, the book offered by the independent advertiser is not an authorized Napoleon Hill publication.
Napoleon Hill’s work has influenced many of the current leaders in the field of personal development, who gratefully attribute much of their success to his teachings, openly deferring to Mr. Hill as being the authority on the subject. I also study Parelli Natural Horsemanship(TM), and Pat Parelli often says, “I didn’t invent this–it’s been around for centuries. I learned it from my teachers, and I’m passing it on to you.” Such is the attitude shared by today’s authentic success mentors.
There is no source as good as the original source. But the Parelli program falls victim to the same predatory marketers as Napoleon Hill’s work has. People study the original, in this case the Parelli program, then repackage themselves as “Parelli trained” when they don’t have the official endorsement from the Parelli corporation itself. In fact, they may be distributing inaccurate or incomplete information, causing more harm than good, and in many instances, not caring if this is the case. They know the Parelli name sells products, and they count on the fact that many will assume if they claim to be genuine, people will believe it–just as the advertising for the bogus “Napoleon Hill” book has done.
Practices such as these create unnecessary controversy and confusion, and the only ones benefiting from this are the purveyors themselves. It is harder for people to discern authenticity, and harder for sincere teachers to reach the people who need the information the most.
One clue that the advertiser may be offering a substandard or plagiarized product is when blatant criticism is aimed toward the product’s competitors, claiming their own product is superior and denouncing the competition as inferior. In the case of the unauthorized “Napoleon Hill Law of Success book”, I was utterly astounded to hear this same dismissive criticism aimed at Napoleon Hill himself, lumping his work in with the “watered down” crew.
While there are plenty of con artists, thankfully there are just as many honest, knowledgeable and legitimate teachers who gratefully give credit where it is due; who are doing their best to pass along vital education; and whose mission is to help people whether they make a profit or not. To ensure that one is receiving the whole, undiluted, bona fide truth, no matter what the subject–seek it from as close to the original source as possible. Accept no less than the real thing, and always have the courage to ask questions.

“Also there’s the issue of Trojan viruses or general viruses…”
No there isn’t that issue, actually. Im not sure what a “general” virus is but you shouldn’t be doing ANYTHING online with out updated software and a decent antivirus.
Don’t fall for a scam, only a sucker would pay $50 for a book in the public domain off of an infomercial.
you need to read up on the bank account scam “tamgro” there are allot of people with no anti virus software and lots of people with out of date anti software and even then if a person excepts a download the virus is downloaded with it.
Hi Steve…you mentioned the book took some time to arrive…How long would you say (range of days?weeks?). I saw the infomercial, purchased the book online (just right now actually)…then I started googling and found this webpage. Should I be worried? Ekk!
Thank you.
I would give it some time if it doesnt arrive within the time frame they specify call your credit card and have the charges removed
I ordered the book from the infomercial, we just wanted to check it out. It is mainly the same ideas you can get from Napoleon Hill’s other books about success and riches, maybe slightly more cohesive and put together better. One thing I do want to add to potential readers/customers: I reviewed the charges over the phone with the female Rep: $49.95 for the book, $9.95 shipping, plus $5 I authorized for express shipping, total $64.90. My credit card was charged $89.85 and guess what, there was a second copy of the book in the box for apparently that 1/2 price discount they were advertising, an extra $24.95. This was not discussed in the phone call at all, I never mentioned getting a second copy. May have been a simple accident or they may be under orders (which I believe would constitute fraud and FTC violations) to go ahead and include the $24.95 charge and a second book with every order, figuring most people will just shrug it off, too much trouble and expense to return it, they’ll just give it away as a Christmas present. If this has happened to any other customers, the “victims” may want to start posting this fact so there will be multiple instances which can be reported to the FTC and they can stop them from charging unauthorized charges to credit cards. So far, I haven’t seen any other postings mentioning this, so not sure if my case was just a one-off accident.
I watched the informercial talked about on this site. One of my hobbies is reading self help/personal improvement books. I was intrigued by the informercial to the brink of ordering the book. There were however, several things that made me not cross that line:
1. I purchased a hard copy of “Law of Success” AND “Think and Grow Rich.” at a Barnes and Noble store for $12.95 in January 2011.
2. The informercial “publisher” declined to disclose even one tidbit of info included in the 1925 version vs. the 1928 version. This made me skeptical that there was any tangible difference in versions except the editing of specious info from the initial writing to the one which was mass published.
3. Ok, I can believe that Napoleon Hill did fall prey to pressure from the rich and powerful (who provided him with info to write the book)to omit tasty tidbits from the original 1928 publishing. This is credible, I can buy that. However; Napoleon Hill died in 1970 (Andrew Carnegie 1919; Thomas Edison 1931, etc.). If the 1925 version had more beef in it, Napoleon Hill, a fantastic marketer himself, would have published this version HIMSELF as the original and improved version. How better to titilate an audience than to say that the new version included industry secrets of billionaires that he was pressured to omit in the original version of the book due to their inate power? Napoleon Hill was a voracious & hugely successful publisher himself.
The conclusion that I am left to come away with is that this is just a very clever marketing ploy in the informercial. Eventhough “Nate Trublood” looks so very scholarly with his fake heavy black rimmed glasses. LMAO
