Fido Texting
A few years back people could send text messages to cell phones with no charges but now things have changed and the sharks are out. So this a warning for you to be careful whenever sending a fido text message. Texting using the fido corporate website is fine.
TextDem Is Completely free No Ads with your messages
But using third party free texting services might charge the recipient of your text message money. Also beware NEVER under any circumstance add your phone number to a text message if you ever choose to send a free text message as this might have reoccurring charges. It’s terrible but all a company needs is your phone number and you might be charged. I can see how this can be a problem in the future so i decided to get the word out now.
If your going to send a text message and your not going to use the corporate website i recommend you just send your text message as an email. It’s much safer and plus you never have to worry about spam or any telemarketing company getting a hold of your cell phone or personal information. Below is the information check it out.
My recommendation is to send sms messages from your email address or on the corporate website (example: rogers, fido, bell) to avoid unwanted spam i would just send messages from your email address. Because all of these companies request you add in your email address anyway. So if you have like lets say a windows or yahoo messenger you can send it directly there. Below is all the carriers i know of in Canada i will updat this page if anyone wants some new address i will add the legit ones.
You need to replace the (Recipients 10-digit phone number)with your recipients phone number. Example, If your friend’s number was
416-555-5555 and their cell phone carrier was Rogers, you would send your email to [email protected]. Make sure theres no spaces like in the example. ok enjoy
