Hey, Justin Trudeau Re-Think The Carbon Tax: Canada Among Top Economies With Most to Lose, ING Says – April 1, 2020
Please, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, rethink the Carbon Tax, I think it would be in your best interests to do so. I’ll be frank, I don’t like any of your policies, I think you’re a good politician as far as being a Politician goes, but your economic policies are really dumb. You’re not a person I’d ever want to meet personally, but I respect you as a fellow countryman.
With that said you’re going to create serious disaster for this country, I remind you that only 1 month has passed and already Canadians can’t pay their rent or their mortgage.
Mr. Prime Minister, I understand that you want to appease your socialist, communist, Authoritarian and environmentalist wings of your party and it’s hard to play the balancing act, but I think the economic devastation that you leave this great country is beyond your current comprehension.
This has little to do with your ability to print and borrow money and has more to do with a lack of productivity and an inability for Canadians to innovate during an economic downturn. Regulations have a price Mr Prime Minister, that price is that it’s more expensive to enter in the market place, which shrinks Canada’s innovative job-creating capacities, its will lead to a devaluing of the Canadian dollar not just in relation to other currencies but also a devaluation of the Canadian dollar locally.
We’re all fully away that it’s your belief that taxing and spending will stimulate growth, the problem is that it will cause real inflation. In the past, when Canada was working to keep the Loonie low, what we were doing was manufacturing inflation, what’s going to happen, Mr. Prime Minister is real inflation is going to hit this country and once that problem hits, it’s not easily containable with popping other debt bubbles!
Canada is heavily reliant on IMPORTS right now sir, which means we can’t even use price controls to stop inflation! Even communist understand that you have to protect the means of production, in all due respect sir, Canada has outsourced a lot of its means of production and with your Climate Tax bill you’re actually going to make it even harder for Western Canada, which is Canada’s economic engine, you’re going to make it more expensive for Western Canada manufacture its commodity, which would actually help to cool the real inflation headed our way!
Even former Communist/Socialist Russia has Gold to pay for an economic downturn, with all due respect Mr. Prime Minister, you’ve sold off Canada’s Gold reserves! The cupboards are bare, I’m actually not sure if we have any cupboards, now, my hope is that the world bails us out, but I have to be honest, I don’t see any reason for them too! Consider my request Mr. Prime Minister, please drop the carbon tax!
