Exchanging Manufacturing for Cash: Donald Trump ceases exports of N95 masks to Canada – April 5, 2020,
A little context is better than a narrative being sold, firstly I’ve been writing for years about Canada and our tariff system towards Americans, I’ve also been writing about in-depth about Canada losing manufacturing jobs and of course, I write a lot about Canada’s bloated Public Sector which I personally think should include Crown Corporations adding to the disaster that is becoming the Canadian economy is currently Prime minister Justin Trudeau not simply handing out cash and Canadian resources like it’s candy but also changing Canadian producers with a carbon tax for being productive.
Now, the worst part of this, in my opinion, has been the Conservative Party’s response to Justin Trudeau. In America, if you were to listen and watch Fox News and CNN you’d see both sides of the political aisle are going at each other neck and neck, why? Because if you don’t go after your adversary with everything you have, the assumption will be that the side who wants it more should be the side who should lead.

I agree with most Libertarians, however, you have to have a degree of intelligence to comprehend the Libertarian argument, most Conservatives accept the fact that the average Canadians knows little about economics, however that shouldn’t stop Conservatives from pushing back and the problem with a lot of Canadian Conservatives is they push back in the same way the Liberals push back.
Although it’s clear that Trudeau gave away the house and the farm, Doug Ford squanders an opportunity to tell Ontarians why it’s important to keep manufacturing jobs in Ontario? We’re not even talking about ventilators here, we’re talking about MASKS!
Now, sure we all as Canadians know that Justin Trudeau is an idiot, but it’s unlikely that his supporters know that, why? Because the Conservatives in an effort to appease all Canadians have abandoned the common-sense argument. Why is Ford on television begging? oh I know, why because he’s too scared to speak the truth, which is that via the Liberal Party of Canada, the country of Canada has lost most of it’s manufacturing jobs and our giant Welfare state economy is vulnerable because of it.

It’s an election year in the United States, the track record for Politicians winning a second term during a recession isn’t that good, Donald Trump won the White House with a slogan “America First” also in almost every single metric the Canadian standard of living is better than Americas, we’re known for our Universal Health Care, so umm, yeah, why do we need to import masks? America has close to 330 million people, Canada has close to 40 million people.
Our current Prime minister is the Virtue Signally King, he’s taken jabs at Trump time and time again, Bernie Sanders often tells Americans to be more like Canada, well Canada can’t manufacture its own product and I don’t even know if our Government Nationalised industry if Canada could provide masks for its own citizens.
Manufacturing things is a skill, I get that the unionized Proatariat in Canada doesn’t want to admit it’s own greed, but this crisis is why people like me are against wage controls! Let me make myself clear to all Conservatives, I’m not against cheap labor, I’m against a cheap Canadian dollar, as the Canadian dollar is worthless, people will work less.
One of the reasons some countries have abandoned the minimum wage is because it gives citizens an excuse not to work. Switzerland was easily able to prevent lazy refugees from becoming citizens because Switzerland doesn’t have a Federal minimum wage. When there’s no minimum wage there’s little to no excuse for a person to be on welfare!
When there’s no minimum wage it’s a lot easier to measure poverty, I get that a lot of Canadians don’t see the correlation between minimum wage laws and the influx of economic migrants, but if there was no welfare state, we’d attract a different type of ‘migrant worker’. Although there’s this myth that refugees are flooding Europe, no, this is false, refugees are flooding countries in Europe with generous welfare programs!
Lithuania doesn’t have a mass migrant crisis, people aren’t kicking down the doors to get into Russia, Ukraine or Belarus! Migrants go to the countries with the most generous welfare programs, that’s how things work in the real world! When people can’t get any welfare they’ll often self deport or look to go to a country with better welfare.
I bring this up because I think it’ silly that Canada has a shortage of masks, it’s been more than a month, Trudeau has already passed bills to bail people out of paying their mortgages if people can’t pay their bills and they’re not working yu really mean to tell me that can’t make some masks? Oh, oh I get it, sewing is beneath us Canadians, we’re too good to be sewers, let the lowly people in these poor countries do all of that dirty manufacturing stuff, how much does it cost we Canadians say, I’ll buy as many as you’ll allow with the money the Prime minister sent me!
