Thanks To Justin Trudeau, The People’s Party of Canada Are Well Positioned To Be a Force In Canadian Politics Post Prime Minister Pierre Poilievre, If Maxime Bernier Can Be Patient – January 27, 2024
It’s unlikely that I will see a Liberty-based political Party become Prime Minister of Canada in my lifetime; however, what I would like to see in Canada is what the NDP and Liberals have managed to achieve in Canadian Federal politics.
Justin Trudeau lost the Popular Vote Twice, and when he lost the popular vote to Erin O’Toole, it was clear to me, that things could only go downhill from there. Erin O’Toole was an EXTREMELY weak Conservative Party of Canada candidate who didn’t even get a chance to properly introduce himself to the general public, and he still managed to get more TOTAL votes than Justin Trudeau in the 2021 election, and by Canadian standards it wasn’t even close.
Few numbers of the 2021 election, Erin O’Toole received 5,747,410 total votes, according to Wikipedia data, and Justin Trudeau’s total votes counted 5,556,629, equating to a difference of 190,781 Canadian voters preferring O’Toole over Trudeau.
Ignored in all of this were the People’s Party of Canada(PPC) voting numbers, which totaled 840,993 votes. Some simple math, 840,993 + 5,747,410 = 6,588,403 total votes.
Now, if you voted for Erin O’Toole in 2021, you definitely have CONSERVATIVE leanings, whereas if you vote for Pierre Poilievre in 2025, you might be simply voting for him, because you’re tired of the incompetency coming from Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh.
Now, as I’ve stated in prior posts, because of Pierre Poilievre’s economic positions on certain issues, he’s going to inevitably find himself, in a political disaster trying to appease the “free hand-outs” crowd that are attracted to his “common sense” approach to politics.
Now, prior to the creation of the PPC, there was no alternative for discontented Conservatives to go when their “Conservative leader” went OPENLY rogue and pivoted to centre to appease the “free hand-outs” crowd.
The hiring of the now former governor of the Central Bank of Canada, Stephen Poloz, by Stephen Harper spelled the END of the Stephen Harper regime, as Stephen Harper found himself in the same disaster Justin Trudeau finds himself in today, which is a HOUSING CRISIS.
Now, sure, Justin Trudeau made the housing crisis far worse than Stephen Harper could have imagined, but during the Harper era, the FEELING from the public was that housing was becoming unfordable, and projections were that this housing DISASTER would continue under Harper.
So, a lot of Canadians simply STAY HOME and watched Justin Trudeau win the 2015 election in a landslide. You also have to factor in that Justin Trudeau ran on legalizing marihuana, and that became the ONLY election that Justin Trudeau won the popular vote.
This makes Justin Trudeau potentially the most UNPOPULAR Prime minister, even by numerical standards in Canadian history. I argue that Justin Trudeau, for the most part, has been the most helpful in fueling the Liberty movement in Canada.
In America, I’d argue that Donald Trump is by far one of the WORST Presidential CANDIDATES in U.S. history, however, because Joe Biden has done such a HORRIBLE job as President, the extremely DIVISIVE Donald Trump has a legitimate chance of beating the EXTREMELY divisive Joe Biden.
In Canadian politics, Pierre Poilievre is NOT divisive; he’s quite the opposite; on the flip side, Justin Trudeau is by far the most divisive political in Canadian history, and it’s not even close.
Canadian Left Wing media will have to search out anything they can find and make it stick to make Pierre Poilievre appear incompetent, and that will be quite difficult because Justin Trudeau’s LAZY style of politics actually helped prepare Pierre Poilievre for the biased media to the point that Pierre Poilievre appears to have developed skills, to counter media narrative SWIFTLY and in real-time.
Factor in that Pierre Poilievre is not lazy and has been traveling all across Canada to deliver his message to ALL Canadians, and you can see the writing on the wall that Justin is done.

But what’s interesting when you read the polling data is that the PPC is still hovering around 5% of the total vote, which is the same place they were when Erin O’Toole won the popular vote in 2015, what that should tell you, is that something COULD be happening in Canada
In 2025, I have to call it like I see it, I think 2025 will be a year in which Canadians merely want to get rid of Justin Trudeau, and it’s for that reason that I expect, the PPC numbers to drop, but suppose I’m wrong and the PPC manages to get a repeat of support of 5% of the total vote, what that should signal to all who support the PPC, is that the average Conservative Party voter, merely voting to win, may have a new home as Pierre Poilievre inevitably pivots to the political centre.
I work in niche markets and niche markets, and the reason I work in niche markets is because GENERAL markets are disloyal; they change as the wind blows.
Those of us who believe in liberty, freedom, and property rights tend to stick with the Austrian economics model, and the longer we appreciate the liberty afforded to us, the faster we can recognize TYRANNY.
I’m not a Trump supporter; I’m not a Pierre Poilievre supporter; I can see the traps they’re setting for themselves. now do I prefer them over their far-left opposition? Of course, I do, but I have to remind the reader that WEAK men create the demand for the FAR LEFT.
Did you ever listen to CANDIDATE Justin Trudeau? As a fair man, I would tell you in all honesty, Candidate Justin Trudeau was speaking like a TYRANT before the 2015 election; however, because Stephen Harper was trying to APPEASE the Left Wingers in Canada, the average Canadian asked themselves, why to have socialism-lite, when we can get the full-blown-socialist experience, so even though I voted for Stephen Harper, the average Pierre Poilievre supporter didn’t.
Unlike most BIASED Conservatives, I’ll treat the TYRANT Justin Trudeau fairly; he’s a product of the Canadian VOTING public, which, for the most part, is DIRECTLY responsible for the housing crisis.
I live in Ontario, and quite frankly, I love Premier Doug Ford, who is also TYRANNICAL; why? Doug Ford has been trying to get MAYORS in Ontario to fix the housing crisis; however, the average MUNICIPAL voter likes the housing problem as it is; why? Because most Canadians in PRACTICE are anti-mass-immigration.
This includes newly arrived immigrants by the way, don’t imagine for a second this is a race thing; I’ve stated over and over again that the main problem with mass migration is that most immigrants don’t want to rock the boat, and so they’ll often vote how they’re told to vote by their community leaders.
However, in PRACTICE, they don’t want GHETTOS, they don’t need ugly condos in their suburban neighborhoods, and they don’t want lower-income people moving into the basements of their NEIGHBOURS, lowering their property values.
We’re all humans here, and we all want to be around like-minded people in the end. What I’m getting at here is that Maxime Bernier and the PPC have the right message; what they don’t have is the faith that they can win an election.
Pierre Poilievre’s housing strategy is going to irritate a lot of people; he just doesn’t know it yet. I’ve been saying for years, that poor people shouldn’t be ENTITLED to live in major cities, and what I’m referring to when I say this is DISSOLVING the CMHC.
You see, Federal government involvement is destroying the Canadian housing market. A lot of these condos you see in Canadian major cities couldn’t be built in the early-mid-190s prior to housing mandates that revolve around the modern CMHC.

Money is not only too cheap in Canada, but it has flowed to short-sighted real estate investors, who treat Canadian housing like STOCKS. Municipal courts, especially those in major cities, side with tenants; it is what it is, so when you factor in BUSINESS-RELATED real estate investing costs and the housing courts, you have fewer LANDLORDS willing to rent out their space.
When I was growing up, everybody wanted to rent you a space, which equated to DEFLATIONARY pricing. But then government presence in the housing space got larger and larger, and of course, you’re going to get bad tenants, and then that’s usually when landlords learn the hard way that renting out their basement or room to a tenant is a bad INVESTMENT decision.
Fewer rentals on the market equate to higher prices for existing rental properties; you still have bidding wars for rentals in major cities; now, this is PURELY a municipal VOTER-created problem. Even if you want to argue that the municipal voter is IGNORANT of what they’re doing, it doesn’t matter, what matters is what they’re voting for, which in practice are lower IMMIGRATION numbers.
Now, Pierre Poilievre is NOT running an election to lower immigration numbers; he’s focusing on housing and the Bank of Canada. Where I differ from most Liberty persons is that I disagree with the notion that we have a central banking problem. I say we have a DEMOCRACY problem, which stems from the LACK of financial education in our school system.
Canadian Equalization Payment Numbers in 2023
- Quebec: $14 billion
- Manitoba: $3.5 billion
- Nova Scotia: $2.8 billion
- New Brunswick: $2.6 billion
- Prince Edward Island: $561 million
- Ontario: $421 million
This blog was designed around the book RICH DAD POOR DAD by Robert Toru Kiyosaki, who said, “Your house is NOT an asset.” Robert T. Kiyosaki focused on financial education and Robert Kiyosaki, also talked about using DEBT to your advantage, which basically revolved around DEMOCRACY because if humans are disinterested in educating themselves about money, then they’re going to vote for Justin Trudeau and Joe Biden, hoping that these far left politicians CAN STEAL for their benefit.
Municipal politics for the most part revolves around what locals want for their city. Now, I can be as Conservative as I want, if the majority of the people where I live want to raise the cost of building in their era, it is what it is.
Now, if the city was ALLOWED to run out of money, things would change, but as we know, that’s the problem with modern politics: they PRINT money and create Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation(CMHC) entities to throw money at problems that would be fixed on their own, if cities were ALLOWED to go bankrupt.

You get a lot of people saying why aren’t these large private sector companies allowed to fail? And the answer often revolves around LOCAL economies being dependent on these large private companies, but most people never do the math and never comprehend the whole purpose of LOBBYING the government for certain contracts.
Cuba is the perfect example of what happens when the government takes complete control over the means of production; I actually like it that Canadians can travel to Cuba. It’s unfortunate that most Canadians imagine that Cuba is poor because of the U.S. embargo. Now, Cuba is poor because the Cuban FEDERAL government basically nationalized the entire Cuban economy.
So, people in Canada who comprehend that the government taking over the means of production is a bad idea instead imagine that the government has the ability to REGULATE the private sector and guide it in whatever direction it likes is a far better solution.
This leads to the disaster of modern Canada, which now has systematic economic problems for which austerity is the only solution. Personally, I think austerity coming to Canada will take some time because we do have one of the world’s reserve currencies, which, for the most part, allows us to IMPORT things to Canada for cheap while also having a bloated, entitled government, imagining that they’ve found the secret sauce to making socialism operate correctly.
So, for the average Canadian asleep at the wheel, Maxime Bernier and The People’s Party of Canada seem too extreme now, but all signs point to things POTENTIALLY changing when Pierre Poilievre is the next prime Minister.
Prime Minister Pierre Poilievre will be pushed in the direction of finding EASY solutions without slicing government. The Conservative government machine will attempt to push Pierre Poilievre to the center once it’s realized that his base is filled with voters who want PRICE CONTROLS that benefit them.
I remind you that CMHC is part of the price control mechanisms in Canada; I like to remind Canadians that I expect hyperinflation before I see a housing crash in prices. If you follow where I’m going with this, you should see the disaster Pierre Poilievre is creating for himself.
Homeowners, many of whom will be voting for Pierre Poilievre, do not want their mortgages to be more expensive than what their home will sell for, and wage earners want their wages to keep pace with inflation and in order for businesses to thrive in this BIG GOVERNMENT environment, they’re going to DEMAND a weak Loonie, so they can make profit in the U.S. market.
Where I stand in all of this is that austerity measures are inevitable for Canada; however, I can’t say when it’s going to happen. Even though many CONSERVATIVE minds disagree with me now, they’ll start to comprehend my arguments after the 2025 election, and those with a brain who can see the writing on the wall will, in my opinion, inevitably gravitate to the People’s Party of Canada.
For myself the PPC winning seats is an inevitability at this point, but I’m really excited to see if the PPC is able to hold onto to 5% of the total vote in the Federal Elections.
Interesting times ahead
