You always try to find the good—even when, on paper, we may be looking at the most authoritarian Prime Minister in Canadian history. But unlike Justin Trudeau, who often made you cringe, Mark Carney sounds and looks the part. He carries himself like a leader.
Yes, the election appears questionable, and Carney is arguably the most compromised Prime Minister Canada has ever had. And yes, his influence contributed to the economic decline in the United Kingdom—though he wasn’t the head of government at the time.
So despite the red flags, I’m willing to give him a chance—for now.
