Let’s be clear—your net worth doesn’t always reflect your independence. Elon Musk, no doubt a brilliant entrepreneur, owes much of his financial success to government subsidies and taxpayer-funded programs. Without state support—especially in the green energy sector—it’s debatable whether Musk would even crack the top 50 richest individuals globally.
Yes, Elon is a genius, but his business model is deeply entangled with government welfare. If America fully returns to liberty, true free-market competition, and property rights, Musk’s empire would face a much tougher playing field. And that day may be coming faster than he anticipated.
President Donald Trump has made it clear that he intends to scale back the green energy agenda. Ironically, this move comes after Musk supported the Trump administration’s efforts to reduce government waste. It’s almost comedic—Elon helped clean the house, only to have his own government-funded empire swept up in the purge.
From the outside, it’s amusing. From Elon’s perspective, however, it’s a financial threat. The cost of doing business will go up, and the profit margins on electric vehicles—which already rely heavily on taxpayer support—are about to get squeezed.
Whether you love or hate electric vehicles, the market has spoken: demand is softening, and subsidies are the only thing keeping some companies afloat. Musk has long benefited from tax incentives, regulatory credits, and federal programs. So it’s understandable that he’d expect a little more “loyalty” from a President he once helped.
But Donald Trump is an old-school capitalist. Like many traditional conservatives, he believes in letting the market—not the government—decide who wins. In Christian terms, we might say: let God sort it out. Trump’s stance is clear: he was elected to put America first, not to hand-pick winners through federal dollars.
Elon Musk, by contrast, has shown signs of entitlement. His latest outburst against Trump—highlighting the former president’s alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein—feels like an emotional reaction rather than a principled stand. If Musk has credible evidence of illegal activity, it should be addressed. But if not, then this kind of mudslinging only makes him look desperate and petty.
Let’s be serious: unless Trump is proven to have committed crimes alongside Epstein, why bring it up? This kind of guilt-by-association tactic is shallow. Many elites—on both the left and the right—had some connection to Epstein. Even Canada’s current Prime Minister has royal family ties that lead uncomfortably close to the Epstein orbit.
To be fair, I’ve had my own doubts about Trump’s faith. But unlike Elon Musk, Trump has publicly mentioned and praised the name of Jesus Christ on multiple occasions. That’s something many world leaders and business moguls shy away from, including Musk—who often behaves like a man guided more by intellect than faith.
From a Christian perspective, Elon’s reaction feels spiritually hollow. The idea that a good deed should earn instant rewards reflects a worldview rooted in self—not in grace. Atheism, materialism, and leftist ideology often lead to emotional insecurity because they lack a foundation in eternal truth.
Elon Musk may be wealthy, but his recent behavior reflects immaturity. If he hopes to maintain credibility and long-term influence, he might do well to reconsider his tone—and his foundation.
Consider making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior today.
