Although gun deaths up to July 29 are at a three-year low, it doesn’t feel that way 😂 (Heather Mallick – TheStar.com) – August 13, 2019,
Living under a Nanny State is a depressing existence, not much for me to say regarding the article you can read below, except that Collectivist really don’t respect individual rights and freedoms. Toronto is multi-ethnic and we have some of the lowest gun-related crimes per capita in North America. The problem in Toronto, however, is that our mainstream media is so boring, that when they get these stories about Gun crimes they replay the story over and over and over again. I don’t watch the news, nor do I subscribe to TheStar.com, because Leftists newspapers stopped debating years ago.
Leftists in Canada feel like they’ve won the debates and it’s time for them to go full authoritarian. I can’t stand watching anything Canadian on television. Canadian television, Canadian media is bland, part of the reason I write is that I’d like Canada to engage in meaningful debates again, debates with substance, debates where everything goes, debates that allow us to express our true selves and say what mean. Listening to all sides is how we grow as a society, but when you a mainstream news outlet starts writing pieces saying Banning guns: It has to be done and the entire argument revolves around a declining murder rate and the writers personal opinions? Like really, I expect better from the Mainstream media. In her article, she states the following: A government’s first duty is to protect citizens from violent death?
A governments duty is not to ruin peoples lives, Heather Mallick we’re ADULTS and Peace Officers in case you haven’t noticed tend to show up after the crime has been committed. Do you want more cops on the streets too? because a lot of minority groups, namely some Black groups who don’t like to be racially profiled, aren’t fans of the Police. Criminals don’t really care for the Police, nor do they care for Canadian laws. Although you’re in a place of privilege, it might behoove you to know that most dictatorships occurred after the people lost their ability to defend themselves. Debates actually stop occurring when people lose their ability to speak freely on issues. In Switzerland, a peacekeeping nation, their democracy is structured on debates, education and learning from history. The citizens are educated about Guns in Switzerland, so Guns aren’t viewed in Switzerland as tools to hurt your fellow citizen.
In Canada, by banning something, you’re actually making it more coveted, mainly by the criminals who don’t follow the laws. Also, I have to remind Heather Mallick that guns aren’t the only weapon criminals will use. In London, Knives are now the weapon of choice, but darts, bows an arrows, forks, Autonomous vehicles, spiked objects, Poisons, bombs anything. Criminals are criminals, and when you attack the law-abiding to stop criminal activity, you embolden the criminals. If Canadians were allowed to defend themselves, the Criminals wouldn’t be so brazen. In Toronto, after these criminals get their hands on illegal guns, if you watch the videos, more times than not, they’ll shoot their victims at close range, why? Because in Toronto Criminals know that we can’t defend ourselves.
Home invasions differ in Canada because criminals know Canadians can’t defend themselves in their own homes. If a criminal breaks into my house and I shoot him/her, I better find myself a good lawyer or I’m going to prison. Banning guns is really bad on women, as women in Toronto are extremely vulnerable to criminal attacks. A woman fighting a man is not a fair fight, tasers and pepper spray are illegal in Canada. Anyway, the article below I found funny and sad at the same time because it’s something I’d expect on a blog, not a mainstream news outlet. The article below embodies the Nanny State, Canada really needs to bring back engaging debates back to television.
Although gun deaths up to July 29 are at a three-year low, it doesn’t feel that way? Yes, Heather Mallick, it’s because the Mainstream media replays those shootings over and over and over again. Toronto has so many law-abiding citizens that the moment the media gets it’s hands-on something negative they’ll replay it over and over for weeks and weeks! I rarely if ever watch CP24 because watching it would make me feel like I was living in a war zone! I had family members that live in an American State with more gun crimes than we have here in Toronto, however when they landed at Pearson airport they were watching local news, and because the local news kept replaying negative story after negative story, my America family members felt like Toronto had a serious Gang problem.
I couldn’t even talk them out of it, it was only when we went outside and they met so many friendly Torontonians that their spirits were at ease. Leftist whack jobs in Canada simply don’t compare data. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful city, have a great quality of life, have fantastic law-abiding citizens and live in relative harmony. But if you watch Canada’s mainstream news, you’d believe something entirely different. Basically, Heather Mallick’s article that you can read below revolves around her watching too much television. I thank all law-abiding citizens of Toronto being such fantastic people, don’t let these government hacks continue to take away our rights to defend ourselves. They’re empowering the criminals! Let’s engage in more debate!
