Bitter Jagmeet Singh calls for reform of ‘broken’ Canadian voting system after NDP Get’s its Ass Whooped by The Bloc Quebecois – October 25, 2019,
So yah, there a bunch of socialist all over Canada how think that Dentists who already hate dealing with insurance companies, would rather wait on Politicized Government cheques. A few years ago, Bill Morneau referred to Canadian doctors as tax cheats, imagine how Dentists would be demonized under a democratic socialist like Jagmeet Singh, I personally think Canada needs electoral reform, but not in the manner Jagmet is proposing. My electoral reform would be based on politicians not being allowed to deficit spend or use the democratic process to enslave individuals.
If we weren’t slaves, Canadian democracy could be exactly as Jagmet proposes, however via the democratic process, one group can economically enslave another group. Jagmet Singh is simply bitter that his votes were scared, while the Blocs votes were very targeted, Democratic socialism is enslavement, just because I have more vote than you equates to me being able to control your destiny is what Jagmet Singh is referring to. Canada’s electoral system currently punishes the minority voters, Jagmet Singh in actuality wants to punish minority voters even more.
Conservatives lost to Justin Trudeau when they actually got more votes than the Liberals, but you’re not hearing about Conservatives wanting to change the electoral system, in the same manner, Jagmet Singh is proposing, why? Because mob rule leads to the disintegration of society. The Canadian system of governance is already set up for social justice, with the exception of Canadian territories, each Canadian Province should have equal representation in the house of commons, however, because of Canada’s unfair system of governance you can clearly see that Ontario and Quebec can out vote Western Canada anytime it feels like, the election was over after Ontario’s votes were tallied.
The following tables summarize representation in the House of Commons by province and territory:
Province | Minimum number of seats (in accordance with the Constitution Act) |
Population (2016 Census) |
Seats allocated |
Electoral Quotient (Average population per electoral district) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Ontario | 95 | 14,655,549 | 121 | 111,144 |
Quebec | 75 | 8,519,894 | 78 | 104,671 |
British Columbia | 28 | 5,101,490 | 42 | 110,667 |
Alberta | 21 | 4,067,175 | 34 | 119,622 |
Manitoba | 14 | 1,278,365 | 14 | 91,311 |
Saskatchewan | 14 | 1,098,352 | 14 | 78,453 |
Nova Scotia | 11 | 976,492 | 11 | 83,963 |
New Brunswick | 10 | 779,820 | 10 | 74,710 |
Newfoundland and Labrador | 7 | 519,716 | 7 | 74,245 |
Prince Edward Island | 4 | 142,907 | 4 | 35,726 |
Total for provinces | 279 | 37,674,639 | 335 | 104,591 |
Northwest Territories | 1 | 41,786 | 1 | 41,786 |
Yukon | 1 | 35,874 | 1 | 35,874 |
Nunavut | 1 | 35,944 | 1 | 35,944 |
Total for territories | 3 | 113,604 | 3 | 37,868 |
National total | 282 | 37,788,243 | 338 | 103,999 |
Jagmet Singh’s problem, however, has absolutely nothing to do with Eastern Canada having an unfair advantage over Western Canada, his problem is that the Bloc did a better job campaigning in Quebec than he did and he wants the government to fix it. When men and women as a whole prefer doing different jobs and when men on average work longer hours and on annual basis make more money than women do, Leftist completely ignore the economics of the situation and focus on the end result. Basically that’s what Jagmet is doing. A brief history of the 2019 election, at the end of August 2019, the NDP still needed 164 candidates. I remind the reader that the NDP as a political party is one of the most financially irresponsible, poorly run, political parties in Canada.
The NDP spent more money than it had coming in, running a $1.4 million operating deficit in 2018. In response to the their financial incompetence, the NDP responded that their 2018 balance sheet didn’t include the value of the Jack Layton building it owns in downtown Ottawa? The building and the land it sits on were appraised last year at close to $8 million, according to the filings. Their answer to financially irresponsibility basically, exposed that the NDP has a hard time understanding Cashflow, and is instead basing their value on debt financing, basically hoping and praying the property vales never decreases, so in the event the NDP manages to become premier of your province, don’t be surprised if the cost of living inflates massively.
While Jagmet Singh was struggling to find people to run for the NDP, Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet concentrated on where he believed the base of his support would be. I’d like to remind the readers that Jagmet Singh was dragging his feet in regards to finding candidates, could this maybe have been the reason why he lost so many seats?
Anyway, I’m hoping Western Canada’s threat of separation isn’t fake, because I’m tired of these Leftists and their buffoonery, It’s rare I find any article where a Leftist politician is bringing up any issues of actual substantive value.
