Breaking News: Elizabeth May says she’s resigning as Green party of Canada leader – November 4, 2019,
It’s pretty easy to know when a Leftists wants out, during the Leaders debate, in fear of the Conservatives winning the election Elizabeth May declared Justin Trudeau as the winner, this at a time when the Green Party would have more than likely has it’s the best shot at gaining a large number of seats. I can’t speak for the rest of the country but I know in Toronto, Elizabeth May declaring Justin Trudeau the leader hurt the feelings of a lot of Green Party supporters who view Justin Trudeau similarly to Conservative voters.
There are a lot of Leftists on the fringes, and Elizabeth May catered to that crowd, The Bloc Quebecois leader Yves-François Blanchet during every debate spoke like he expected to win and therefore the Bloc Quebecois made huge gains in their ridings. I didn’t expect Elizabeth May to step down, but I knew there would be calls for her too. She really did squander an opportunity The Green Party most likely won’t ever get again.
With that said, I’ll wait for the official reason as to why she’s stepping down, I never agreed with her politics and I was very disappointed with her performance during the leaders’ debate. She appeared to pander to Trudeau, at the very least Jagmeet Singh challenged Trudeau. As an opposition party leader, in my view, it’s disgusting to listen to one Party leader declaring their opposition leader the winner, Imagine attending a boxing match and one fighter saying to her/his fans I’m going to show up to this boxing match to support my opponent defeating me.
I don’t care if you win or lose, you debate to win, if you’re fighting for something you truly believe in, you do it passionately with everything you got. If Trudeau was going to win, why should anyone vote for you? I was and still, am a fan of former Mississauga mayor Hazel McCallion, if you’re a female getting into Politics, consider mirroring her, cross your t’s and dot your i’s, if you’re going to lose go out swinging. Anyway, I’m not really sure how to end this post, because I don’t know if I should thank her for her service, because Elizabeth May in many respects has prevented Canada from being a clean energy leading manufacturer.
Most of the clean energy innovations we’re more than likely going to come from Alberta, but because of the all the red tape championed by Elizabeth May the Canadian economy is not only on the downturn, we also don’t have the current ability via regulations to be a clean energy technologies leader. I remind the reader again that I’m actually pro-clean energies, clean energies are after all my wheelhouse. I’m very passionate about clean energy sources.
I just don’t believe it’s the governments’ role to regulate the fossil fuels industry out of existence. I even openly considered the feed-in-tariff model, assuming that it would lead to a clean energy manufacturing in Ontario, I was wrong, very wrong, I assumed Canad would have taken the U.S approach, which basically helped to create Tesla, however being that I got to see the Green Energy people up close, their laziness, their lackadaisical nature to climate change when faced with the hard work necessary to make it a reality, I know first hand for many of the climate change, climate emergencies, global warming types, ultimately it’s all about feeling good, disruption, something they could tell their kids or grandkids they did when they young, and I concluded in the end it was really all about redistribution of money. That we knew it first and we warned you, the pessimistic attitude you often find with Leftist.
I’ve seen it up close, so I know what’s going on with those Green people, I challenge anyone to attend one of those green energy meetings and see it for yourself. All talk, no action, those people get passionate only with shutting down fossil fuels, when it comes to building the infrastructure for green energies, it’s all crickets, with that said, I don’t have anything particularly good to say about Elizabeth May. She is Canadian, so I respect her and wish her nothing but the best.
