Canada can’t follow the lead of Trump’s America and grow jobs, not regulations, here’s the simple reason why – August 2, 2019,
Until either Maxime Bernier wins the Federal election or until the Canadian economy crashes it’s unlikely that Canada will follow the lead of Trump’s America and grow jobs, not regulations. If Justin Trudeau or Andrew Scher become Prime minister in the upcoming election, they’ll both be beholden to the entities that fueled their political campaigns. Big industry, large corporations are protected by regulations, regulations make the barriers to entry higher which favors big business and keeps smaller or mid-sized businesses from ever competing with them.
Canadian Labour Union culture goes something like this… If as a business you can’t afford to pay Union wages, you shouldn’t be business, this type of thinking fuels the Crown Corporation culture in Canada that has things like Auto Insurance in B.C and Liquor Commerce in Ontario regulated and monopolized by their Provincial Governments. This is the current reality in Canada and Austerity measures will not be tolerated by the Lunatic Leftists, who feel entitled to Welfare and entitlements.
The largest crowd in politics is the crowd that ignores economics, the average Canadians will go to sleep if you start talking economics, a lot of Trump supporters in the United States don’t follow Trump because of his economic policies, they follow him because he’s a breath of Fresh Air. There are only 2 ways to in my opinion to get Canadians to view the world more economically, the first way is a market crash, deep down inside everyone knows that you can’t get something for doing nothing, when a crash hits, the mood for most people will be to make Canada function as it was, economic crashes create Hitler types because, during an economic crash, people want an easy fix, this is how people vote in Communists, this is why people vote in Socialists and Fascists.
The economic realities, fortunately, this time around has a lot of people flush with cash and a lot of assets, the actual economic crash would happen in the stock market, which means Mainstreet or the common person who isn’t in debt wouldn’t notice a thing in fact with dropping prices a crash would be the perfect buying opportunity for the people flush with cash, the suffering if a crash hit or the people either reliant on the government, reliant on debt and/or reliant on the market for their survival.
These people will maybe everything when a crash hits, most of the debt in circulation people forget is not actual money, they’re promissory notes. The example you have a mortgage and you have a home equity loan, imagine one day you had to pay for both but you had no chance to borrow any more money for the next decade. That’s what a modern-day crash would look like, this scenario from my standpoint obviously means global debt renegotiation and when this happens the worst part of it will be Austerity measures that governments will be forced to impose or hyper-inflate the currency. I often talk about trade because the problem I see with Canada is our reliance on imports

Why Canada CAN NOT disentangle itself from a bullying China
Labour unions have made hiring very expensive in Canada, manufacturing has been leaving Canada in droves because of over-regulation and labor unions, when these manufacturing jobs leave and don’t come back, common skills that used to exist in abundance, no longer exist, are rare or are very hard for employers to find. In Canada, there are thousands of high paying jobs that go unfulfilled, why? Because we’ve turned ourselves into a service sector economy, a large chunk of the large corporations remaining in Canada are subsidized in some way shape or form and they’d be baled out if push came to shove.
Because Canada has hollowed out its manufacturing sector, countries like China and India can ignore us if we don’t treat them with the respect that their respected economies now demand, the days of old when Canada could say to China we’re cutting you off and it would mean something are gone. The Canadian Loonie is artificially low and it’s intentionally made to look unattractive because if the Loonie appreciates like it should, Canada can’t pay for its public services, because a higher valued currency typically equates top tier manufacturing. When people think about Germany or Switzerland, they think quality manufacturing they’ll pay more money for. Canada used to garner that level of respect until someone came up with the bright idea to force the Loonie lower. This depreciation of our currency attracted a different type of business, a lrge chunk of big corporations in Canada are here because our labour via the lower Loonie is less than the United States, depending on the politician in power Canada is also very accommodative to businesses
We sell commodities now, usually raw commodities, sure we could turn our raw commodities into things people will buy, however, that would mean changing economic policies, changing Canadian culture, aggressively competing on the global market as a major player in the Consumer goods market, do you think modern-day Canada is ready for such a drastic change? In Germany when they decided to go Green, they didn’t look to China to build Solar Panels for them, the Germans built their own solar panels.
Germans also don’t like Nuclear so they’ve also worked on ways on reducing their dependence on Nuclear, what separates Germany from Canada is when Canada got into renewable energies instead of making our own solar panels, we became more reliant on China o build the solar panels for us. Because you see in Germany the people got involved and want to learn about renewable energies, for the most part in Canada renewable energies has mostly been a financial money scheme where manufacturing isn’t even mentioned. Trudeau created a Carbon tax, have you heard anything about Solar Panel or Wind Farm manufacturing plants opening? No! Of course not, the assumption by Canadians who are pro-green energy is that we’ll buy solar panels from somewhere and install the panels in Canada. Of course, I know that’s pure nonsense, but I’m trying to give the reader a perspective of the Leftist culture in Canada.
Do you know of any Canadian Cars? Korea has a car company, Does Canada make televisions? Video Game consoles? Engines, Transmissions things unique to Canada that unlike Bombardier or SNC Lavelin don’t need the Governments assistance to survive? No, we have our companies, but they often prefer to stay out of the limelight, possibly out of fear they’ll be the next target that the next Canadian socialist politician will use their wealth as a means to get votes and raise taxes.
Canada is beholden to China because a large segment of the Canadian population believe the Leftist lie, that we can grow the size of the government without penalty. Even now, what I hear about is populism, I don’t hear much about actual Conservativism or Libertarianism. Maxime Bernier becoming Prime minister would be the only way I would know that Canada would be ready for a cultural shift. Otherwise, all I see right now is Canadians opting for Trudeau or Trudeau light which is Andrew Scheer.
Justin Trudeau was able to do so much damage to the Canadian economy, mainly because of Stephen Harper made it very easy for him. Andrew Scheer didn’t do much for Conservativism, he didn’t change the Liberal mood of the country, so when people got the chance to pick between Moderate socialist and a full-blown socialist the people chose the full-blown socialist and the reality is the economy is headed for a crash and the Conservatives might take the blame for the Justin Trudeau created disaster. Doug Ford asked politicians in Ontario to be more financially responsible with taxpayers dollars and basically, he’s being looked at like Hitler. I see Canada for what it is and if Maxime Bernier doesn’t become Prime Minister I expect only a crash to POSSIBLY change regulations in this country. In regards to job growth, I’m confident Canada can grow jobs, but the types of jobs Canada can grow? That’s an entirely different topic for another day.
