Canada Loves Big Government so now Gas stations are fluctuating their daily price! – April 18, 2019,
There’s a price for your actions, and for years and years Old stock Canadians have assumed that certain jobs, certain careers, certain businesses are beneath them. So what’s been happening slowly but surely is foreigners have slowly been making their presences felt in different areas of the Canadian economy. In my personal opinion, it’s an embarrassment, especially if you’re an Old Stock Canadian. When I speak to some post office workers, they’re proud that at one time they made the Canadian government fall to its knees, many of them are proud of the days when Petro Canada was a crown corporation, a lot of Canadians are pro-price controls and a lot of these Old Stock Canadians identify themselves as being Conservatives or Libertarians.
If you watch the video above, the Canadian Libertarian makes an argument that immigrants are lowering wages? In a free market system most educated people who understand taxes, typically don’t opt for wages, wages are actually more of a rebellion thing, wages in actuality help to fuel the big government machine, because in case people don’t know, employees, in reality, don’t pay income taxes, the employer does. If you think I’m lying, consider this, if an employer ceases to exist can his/her former, now laid off employees pay income taxes if they’re now unemployed? The answer is obviously not, now, if an employer was allowed financial flexibility during economic downturns would manufacturing and other jobs leave Canada at the pace they’re leaving now? Of course, they wouldn’t. In a market-based economy, price inflates and deflate until it finds a medium and even that medium can be threatened because of innovations.
What should be noted is that innovations don’t always destroy jobs, what destroys jobs are laws like the minimum wages and other price control related regulations. A price control equates to a standard that a business must adhere to in order to exist. Now, of course, there are certain necessary regulations, like imagine there were no regulations governing the use and handling of Propane or nuclear power. Of course, we need regulations, but the question to ask is what regulations fuel the welfare state?
Now a better question is why is there welfare in this country? Welfare exists primarily because most people don’t volunteer, Welfare also exists because most people would rather not change their behavior if they don’t have too, after all, we live in a democracy. As an example forget love component, now ask yourself a question why should men and women get married? Answer: Because economically 2 incomes are better than one, and even if there’s only one income it’s a much better idea to have one person taking care of the home while the other person works!
But imagine if the government took the place of one of the people working, what would make more sense to some individuals, living as a single person or sharing? Most people when given the option will live as a single person. Now imagine if the government also incentivized raising children as a single person, what would make more sense having the government as a spouse or partner or having an actual human individual as a partner? Deep down inside most of us believe that we can do things better on our own, so as an example there are a lot of single women raising children today. It’s reached to the point where a lot of single women see, single motherhood as something normal, most women can’t imagine that if there wasn’t a welfare state in Canada that women’s standard of living, single and as a single parent would drop dramatically. As a man, being honest I couldn’t tell you the last time I went to the hospital, actually going to the hospital is a net loss for a person like me, typically, because parking is expensive at most Toronto hospitals.
As we all know in poor countries there are tons of single mothers and typically they’re the ones that require donations from private charities. Now, the reality of the situation is that single moms exist primarily because in real terms without men women are incapable of even holding a village together. I was watching a documentary about Pigmy’s and one of the main reasons te Pigmys survive is because of the men. Of course, the women play a large role, but excluding the African warlords’ threats to wipe the Pigmys out of existence, their simple society appears to be working for them because of their understanding that each person has to play their part in society.
The gas station problem in Canada revolves around Canada’s lack of entrepreneurs, now this is where I have to let the reader know that owning a franchise doesn’t really make you an entrepreneur. If you buy a Petro-Canada or a Tim Hortons Franchise there’s a system in place that the franchisees must abide by. Now, if you go to America, and many parts of Europe, namely Germanic/Protestant European countries you’ll notice something there, that isn’t as prevalent here in Canada and that something is an abundance of small businesses. Personally, I think it’s the French Latin European influence on Canadian society, but Canadians really have adopted this Keynesian, corporatist culture that has a real damaging effect on how most Canadians view the world.
So, what’s happened and I’ve written about this many times, as an example, foreigners are beginning to be dominant in major industries in Canada. New stock Canadians are importing and I can also say testing and creating new concepts to see how much abuse the Canadian consumer will take. Now, the reality of the Gas situation is that if Petro Canada or Esso weren’t so big, nobody would care if some Gas companies were fluctuating their gas prices daily, because if this were the case, people would inevitably gravitate to the gas companies that didn’t do this. The problem really is, that Petro-Canada is so large that if they start tinkering with Gas prices, most people, most consumers instead of voting with their dollars will instead turn to the government to fix the problem.
It never fails, I’ve heard the argument made plenty of times, these new immigrants are lowering wages and stealing our jobs? Really? Is that what you really think is happening, I’ve worked in Sheet metal for 10+ years and one thing I’ll tell you is that White people give their white managers and white superiors at their jobs hell. Because they unionize, go to the government and demand higher minimum wages and on the consumer end prefer paying the lowest price possible, while at the same time rarely if ever opposing a lower Loonie, then they wonder how these disasters are formed in the first place, then to make matters worse they’ll want a politician to fix these culturally damaging ideas in a few years and then complain the moment the politician makes a mistake? Then they wonder why foreigners are now toying with us in our own country? For me, all of this stuff is as clear as day because I’ve lived through it. For the rest of you, the reality is I’d be preparing for the economic crash and potential turmoil.
yes, I’m glad there are now Conservative politicians as Premiers of Canadian provinces, but my fear is that these Conservative Premiers are going to get blamed for the inevitable economic crash that’s getting closer and closer every day. Do Canadians not see anything wrong with Petro Canada and Esso having a monopoly on gas? Have Canadians not been paying attention that small businesses, small business shops are disappearing in Canada? have Canadians not noticed that commercial buildings that used to do manufacturing are now being turned into condos? Canadians honestly don’t see anything wrong with this? Hmm! Well, if you don’t see anything wrong with it, then it will be hard for you to see the correlation of what I wrote above and the article you can read below.
