Why is this funny, you ask? Why is the fox guarding the hen house funny? The idiot Prime Minister who ACCELERATED the housing problems in Canada thinks he can FIX the problem using the same LEVERS of government that CAUSED the problem.
The government makes its money via TAXATION and boring money that it PRINTS from thin air. Thankfully, in modern times, Canada has one of the world’s RESERVE currencies, which equates to Canadians having more PURCHASING power OUTSIDE of Canada.
However, Justin Trudeau is destroying the DOMESTIC purchasing power of the Canadian dollar. To those of you who don’t understand why housing is so expensive, housing is a 100% DOMESTIC problem, and the housing market is REFLECTIVE of FISCAL policies. Foreigners can only DRIVE UP housing costs if your local and Federal governments are INCOMPOTENT rule makers.
Similar to former Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne, Trudeau is running out of other people’s money to spend. Trudeau is one of those DORKS you meet in school who tries to BUY YOUR FRIENDSHIP (Please like me, I’ll give you candy)
He’s a big kid, or as the Chinese Communists would say, he’s a “little potato,” Trudeau’s daddy was actually just as bad with the economy as his idiot father. The difference was that his dad was smart enough to exit the political stage BEFORE his economic policies DESTROYED the Canadian economy.
The problem I have with the financially illiterate is that you never know if they’re blatantly corrupt, a useful idiot, or just plain stupid. I lean more towards Trudeau, being the idiot he appears to be when you observe him up close and from a distance.
First and foremost, let’s give the PM a little credit, he speaks English and French fluently, that is a skill many of us wish we had, but my admiration for him stops there.
So, one of the problems I write about a lot on this blog is the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation(CMHC), which is a FEDERAL entity, that once repurposed to “solve” the housing crisis that existed in the 1990s, helped to ACCELRATE the housing problem.
Now, you won’t read about me blaming Justin Trudeau for the CMHC; the repurposing of the CMHC dates back to the Chrétien Liberals. But the emphasis I like to focus on was the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, poking its nose into LOCAL government affairs.
Now, personally, I HATE socialism, HOWEVER, I think LOCAL GOVERNEMNTS, and the idiots who vote for these idiot local politicians have the RIGHT to pursue a SOCIALIST agenda, however, these idiot socialists, should have to PAY for their stupid fiscal policy decisions.
SOCIALISTS have an ENTITLEMENT view of PROPERTY RIGHTS; socialists, when they move into a rental unit, want to CONTROL the rental price, which is fine. However, they want the landlord or the government to FINANCE their RENTAL PRICE CONTROLS, which is why the government and the PRIVATE SECTOR do not want to build rental-purpose housing.
You know the problem is bad when HOMEOWNERS don’t want to rent out their properties, in fear of the GOVERNMENT or lawmakers making a decree that the RENTER has more property ownership than the actual owner of the property.
So, in most cities in Canada, word has spread NOT to rent out your home, BUY, HOLD, and flip for profit, or use your property for Airbnb to avoid local government regulations.
So the idiot PRIME MINISTER, a few weeks back, changed the TAX CODE on Airbnb, and now that he imagines he’s solved the Airbnb problem, he’s now going to use the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to make it more COMPLEX to be a LANDLORD?
Those of us in the private sector take that as our CUE to LEAVE the scene, which is something SOCIALISTS who like to BUY FRIENDSHIP don’t understand. Either you’re pro-freedom or you’re not, if you’re going to create a PRISON for me as a landlord or make me out to be the ENEMY of the people because your government has a spending problem, well, maybe I don’t want to be a LANDLORD anymore.

The federal public service, now at 357,247 employees, is nearly 40 per cent larger than it was in 2015, when the Liberals took power, when it counted 257,034 employees.
Maybe now, I can play a game of cat and mouse with your government until you idiot Leftists are forced to engage in the NATIONALIZATION of private property. This is why Trudeau is struggling to attract CAPITAL into Canada, His taxes, rules and regulations are childish, they’re stupid, they’re communistic, Trudeau is a moron.
With that said, this is good for Canada, the Liberal Party was DYING prior to Trudeau legalizing drugs, and Trudeau has managed to destroy the brand appeal of “TRUDEAU” and the Liberal Party, and the longer he remains Prime Minister, the more hated he and the Liberals will be.
Doug Ford isn’t perfect, but Kathleen Wynne was such a bad Premier, that Ontarians, many of whom refused to vote in the last election, refused to vote for the Liberals, because everyone in Ontario, who was alive to experience the PAIN associated with Kathleen Wynne, remembers how she made them FEEL.
Justin Trudeau brought the Kathleen Wynne political platform to the National stage, and the negative feelings associated with this horrible, childish man will be remembered for at least a decade.
I’m not sure of the final draft of this “renters’ bill of rights” but it’s definitely going to ATTACK property rights, attacking property rights, typically leads to CRIME and shortages. You have to remember that government rules make doing things WITH YOUR OWN PROPERTY illegal, making your property more of a LIABILITY than an asset.
If getting involved in real estate is a pain in the ass from local and federal governments, what’s going to happen is everyone involved in real estate is going to wait until this idiot Prime Minister is GONE. 2025 can’t happen fast enough, Trudeau, for the most part has been tuned out.
Ottawa will work with provinces and territories to develop a “renters’ bill of rights” that would introduce a national standard lease agreement and implement requirements for landlords to disclose an apartment’s pricing history to allow tenants to negotiate their rent.
