Canada’s Super-Rich Seeing Wealth Shrink how Justin Trudeau and Liberals Picking Winners and Losers hurts tax collection – September 26, 2019,
I typically refer to the Huffington Post as the NDP Newspaper, being that they’re Private company, in my opinion, they have the right to write whatever they want. So when they challenge the NDP on a particular issue, this obviously gets a person like me interested. So, I want to put Jagmet Singh into proper perspective so people can understand why he hasn’t resonated with voters in 2019.
Jagmet Singh and the Globalist Liberal Puppet Michael Ignatieff
If you read my NDP related posts, I often write in length about the late Jack Layton, I personally hated Jack Laytons’ politics but I respected him as a man, he practiced what he preached, he was socialism at its purest political form. He stuck with his beliefs and eventually, the Liberals made a Michael Ignatieff their leader. Similar to Justin Trudeau, Michael Ignatieff was extremely arrogant, however, he was no drama teacher, had an unrelatable personality and wasn’t even good looking. The reality is that Michael Ignatieff was Justin Trudeau, the Globalist powers that be wanted to use Michael Ignatieff to push forward their takeover the Canadian economy.
Now, back when the NDP had a purpose, Jack Layton was able to see through Michael Ignatieff, so Jack Layton subtly began chipping away at Michael Ignatieff, if you listen to those 2011 Canadian federal election debates, you’ll pay close attention to Jack Layton, you may have thought it was accidental that he was able to break Michael Ignatieff, but it wasn’t it was strategic, Jack Layton had been in politics for over a decade, he measured Michael Ignatieff and knew how to get under his skin.
Well, fortunately for the NDP at that time Jack Layton defeated the Liberals and the NDP had officially become the opposition party, this was very unfortunate however because unfortunately for the NDP Canada was able to get a taste of Ontario had known since the 1990s. The NDP talks a good game, but when you put their policies into practice, they don’t work. Democratic Socialism or socialism, in general, requires a very wise EXPERIENCED management, so being that most people in the NDP are career politicians, for many of them it’s hard to comprehend how the private sector operates.
I recognize an NDP or Liberal supporter based on the views regarding Crown Corporations, there’s an assumption by most Leftists that all taxes are created equal. No, there’s only one tax that matters, tariffs and PRIVATE sector income taxes. Taxes that come from Crown Corporations have nothing to measure against, so as an example, in Ontario the LCBO which is The Liquor Control Board of Ontario is a Crown corporation that retails and distributes alcoholic beverages throughout the Canadian province of Ontario. actually prevents more taxes from coming into Ontario.
Because if competition were allowed to exist there would be more Liquor retail all over Ontario each of whom would hire people who pay income taxes and also collect more sales taxes view sales during hours when the LCBO is closed. Now, when the Trudeau government picks economic winners and losers is shrinking the wealth in this country. Now, because the Liberals use a more corporatist model to their government Canadians don’t feel the effects of Liberal policies as fast as they will when the NDP is in government.
You feel it, almost immediately when the NDP takes control of your government and therefore the NDP’s only hope to rule exists in having a sweeping victory in which they’ll hope in 4 years Canadians will forget what a free market felt like. Jagmet Singh became the leader of the NDP in response to Justin Trudeau, the problem is the Liberal party was dying when Justin Trudeau became the leader of the Liberal Party. Everybody with half a brain knows that when Canadians hear the words “TRUDEAU” they remember Justin’s daddy “Pierre Trudeau” I’ve never been a fan of Pierre Trudeau but I’m honest enough to say that a vast majority of Canadians are.
Pierre Trudeau made Canadians feel cool, trendy and hip. Some will argue that Justin Trudeau’s mom was a little on the wild side, but for Canadians who make the topic of economics a distant third in their reasoning to vote for a politician, this made Pierre Trudeau the cool politician on the block. The best thing Pierre Trudeau did was he exited politics before his economic policies began destroying the Canadian economy. This strategy has been mimicked by Liberal politicians all over Canada. Prior to leaving office, Kathleen Wynne made sure that she left Doug Ford with a huge mess to clean up. The mess created by Liberal leadership now belongs to the Conservative Party. Unfortunately for Jagmet Singh the economic disasters left by the NDP candidates all over Canada is still being felt by Canadians. Look at B.C, and their gas prices, you can’t hide what John Horgan has done. You can play pretend, but you can’t hide it, there’s no secret why the cost of living is so high in British Columbia
Here’s a list of all the taxes people pay on a litre of gas in B.C.:
- Provincial motor fuel tax (Metro Vancouver) — 1.75 cents
- Provincial motor fuel tax (everywhere else in B.C.) — 7.75 cents.
- B.C.’s carbon tax — 8.89 cents.
- The B.C. Transportation Finance Authority tax — 6.75 cents.
- TransLink tax (If you live in Metro Vancouver) — 17 cents, increasing to 18.5 cents on July 1.
- Transit tax (If you live in Victoria) — 5.5 cents.
- Federal excise tax — 10 cents.
- Finally, pay the five per cent Goods and Services Tax on top of the total price.
If you’re wondering why Jagmet is struggling, you should be able to see why, it was a bad move by the NDP to assume that Canadians wanted a young politician, no, Canadians wanted a return to the Pierre Trudeau years, and it even looks like Canadians might vote for Trudeau again, because Leftists love being in the spotlight. Canadians love to feel like they’re being recognized in the world and even though Justin Trudeau is a global laughing stock amongst world leaders, the Canadian Left, views the world differently, attention is attention with them and as long as they’re getting the attention for being Progressives that’s fine with them.
Jagmet Singh’s and the NDP’s wealth tax is consistent with their taxation policies, socialists tend to focus on regressive taxation, the NDP after all used to be a labor union party, I doubt blue-collar people want to see their income taxes rise, it’s consumption taxes that socialist tend to target, but when you target consumption, investment becomes scarce, because as a business person you say to yourself what’s the point of investing or growing my business when me tax rate is going to go up? Keep operations small or put my investment dollars in a place which allows me to yield more cashflow. It’s also very important to remember that financial managers have a fiduciary duty to their shareholders and being that most Canadians retirement is in the stock market, these fund managers have to do what’s in the best interests of their wealthy clients’ own corporations, they’ll advise them accordingly.
People like me call the Liberals, The Greens and The NDP the authoritarian Left for a reason, that’s the only direction they have left economically in the modern era. I often ask the question is there ever enough labor laws in Canada to ever make people question if a labour union is serving their best interests anymore? The modern Left has already been defeated, however, what I’m curious to see is how long it takes them to catch up. Maybe the Left won’t comprehend the prosperity that exists and society will crumble, I’m not sure.
Interesting times ahead
