You can’t keep disarming the population while asking them to trust a system that plays favourites and leaves the rest behind. If we truly believe that life and liberty are worth protecting, then we must also believe that self-defense is a right, not a privilege. Canada can’t have it both ways. We can’t strip citizens of their right to defend themselves and then act shocked when they’re left vulnerable.
