Debt and Inflation contributes to Samsung and Apple’s war for the high-end smartphone is leading to inflated prices – February 13, 2020,
Do you why most automobiles are so expensive? Because people are willing to go into debt to purchase them. Financing charges get pushed into any item people are willing to go int debt for and this is the main driver of inflating smartphone prices. Furthermore, let’s not pretend that the growing public sector in Western Nations isn’t deflating the value of currencies worldwide.
Furthermore, a large chunk of Western nations, have embraced wage and price controls in many sectors of the economy, the price and wage controls drive prices for good and services up, furthermore, there exist tariffs taxes in most developed nations which also drives up consumer prices, value-added taxes and other taxes people pay to feed the public sectors also drive up consumer prices and on the back end are the people who invest in Apple and Samsung, these investors after all these fees and taxes have to get something back on their investment because in case people forget, a large chunk of the world is dependent on companies like Apple to secure their retirement.
Let’s stop pretending that we don’t know why prices for quality electronics are going up, as it stands now, most countries want large public sectors and apparently a lot of people are willing to finance their lifestyle with debt, this risk obviously leads to higher prices, there’s no conspiracy, the prices aren’t ridiculous, Samsung and Apple aren’t forcing people to buy their products there are alternatives to Apple and Samsung.
If you choose to buy spend over $1400 on a Smartphone, that’s your decision, nobody forces people to buy at Amazon, nobody forces people to work for Amazon, humans make decisions because of their decisions align with their beliefs. Amazon has great logistics, you can buy something and have it delivered to your home without you having to leave your house, there’s a fee for that service.
Samsung and Apple have spent years investing to be the leaders in the smartphone market, there’s a fee the consumer has to pay to be at the forefront of technology and if Government workers have pay scales that often keep up with inflation, why shouldn’t the high-end private sector be allowed to do the same thing? If you want the government to protect you and provide welfare and devalue the currency, expect that prices will go up.
