Grants-canada.org Review Is It a Scam?
As a Canadian it is important to know that the Canadian Government has your back if you’re looking at the Canadian government as this magical entity that wants nothing to do with you change that thinking now. The Grants-canada.org in my opinion seems legit and somewhat knowledgeable about Canadian grants because of their “dot org” domain that being said Canadians should only trust government sources with “.ca” domains not only that I advise any Canadian before handing over their credit card information to contact a government body and ask them questions about how to get grants and loans. Another RichInWriters writer wrote about a similar site that has now been confirmed a scam which can be found by going to http://richinwriters.com/gmoneycacom-review-scam/
Grants-canada.org Terms
Personally I hate websites like Grants-canada.org and the reason I hate these sites is because of how they operate they lure people in with the idea if easy accessible grants they then ask you for your credit card information put you on a trial and then take money out of your pocket. To get an idea of what I mean I high recommend Canadian read the Grants-canada.org terms and conditions before signing their terms and conditions as of December 2012 can be found by going to http://grants-canada.org/terms.php the section I recommend you read is the section that says “Offer Details:” in this section it says and I’m quote
“To activate your trial membership to GRANTS CANADA your card will be charged $1.00 and then you can immediately take advantage of the exciting savings GRANTS CANADA has to offer! After your 1 day trial period it’s just $57.61 for each 30 days for GRANTS CANADA.”
It then goes on to say
“As an exclusive bonus we are offering our customers 2 days of unlimited access to our work from home guide for a charge of $1.00. Cancel anytime during the trial period to avoid any further charges. Otherwise, a one-time fee of $38.21 will be charged to your credit card. Marking the checkbox and submitting the form constitutes an agrement to these terms on your part.”
Last words regarding Grants-canada.org
If something sounds to good too be true it probably is I know many of you reading this are having a hard time making money or having a hard time finding ways to fund your education but don’t let these companies take from you something you can access for free. If you look close at the Grants-canada.org website you can clearly see that the Canadian check that they have on their website is fake also “CBS, NBC and CNN or American news stations I highly recommend that people avoid Grants-canada.org. One other thing if you scroll to the bottom of Grants-canada.org they say “This Website is not affiliated with any government entity.” STAY AWAY
In the past I received a grant for apprenticeship training I learned about this by going to the legitimate Canadian grants section found at http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/goc/apprenticeship/index.shtml If you’re looking for a Canadian Government grant go there or search Google for “Service Canada” don’t sign up for sites like Grants-canada.org.

I was looking for government grants to apply for the get some start up money, and came across Grants-canada.org to which I immediately applied to. Needless to say I know understand that this is a huge scam that apparently the Governments in Canada condone by not putting an immediate stop to their business of scamming Canadians! So now I need to know how to stop them from taking anymore payments which coincidentally increase every time one visits the site to search for grants to apply for and information on how to apply for Government grants.
Thanks for the heads up, and I will be very disappointedly cancelling my membership to their site, and wondering why the government of Canada allows these people to continue to scam honest citizens who are just trying to find a way to earn some money.

I just got a fax from The Canadian Subsidy Directory. I don’t want junk fax sent so looked for an originating fax number…identification is
” A Happy FaxTalk User”…no fax but a long distance phone number to order…nothing about how to get off the list. Called 1 866 322 3376 and got a very rude woman who said they “don’t have a fax number”…you just call long distance to be removed. I told her I thought it was necessary in Canada to give the option to be deleted…she hung up on me. Tried to find a fax number by reverse call, etc. but message was there is no person Natasha Robillard, Canadian Publications and no address for them at 2685 Rolland, Ste-Adele, Qc. J8B 2Y9. I think this is a scam. Why would William Watson, Ottawa Citizen recommend The Canadian Subsidy Directory…who can I report this spam to? thanks for any suggestions..
