In America there a re lots of scams that claim that they can help everyday people get grants and/or loans and these scams are able to survive mainly because in the past the government didn’t provide easy accessibility for people to find grants or loans. Canada on the other hand has always been different. In fact in Canada there is an over abundant supply of information about all types of grants and in many ways if one government agency can’t help you they’ll usually refer you to another government agency that will either be able to help you or who will tell that what you’re looking for currently doesn’t exist.
Personal thoughts regarding Grants-Loans.org
Personally I think you’ll be throwing your money away by signing up with Grants-Loans.org. They’re not an official Canadian website which basically means any service they’re going to provide you will be available for free by doing a simple Google search or by contacting the government for yourself. Don’t be fooled into believing that they have some “secret” information that no one else knows about, furthermore don’t trick YOURSELF into believing that they’ll inform you of all the free money the government is “granting” .
As many people know getting a government grant is not easy and you have to also qualify to get one just knowing one exists won’t help you to qualify. Personally I would avoid Grants-Loans.org it’s a waste of money and time any loans or grants available from the Canadian government are easily accessible for FREE via the internet.

In regards to any loans Grants-Loans.org might send you too; as man of you know banks and loan companies are in abundance all over Canada. Go to any Schedule 1, 2 or 3 bank in Canada to get a loan you can also search for credit unions, merchant cash advances etc. A person does NOT need Grants-Loans.org to find a loan. Loan sharks are all over the place.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND SIGNING UP WITH Grants-Loans.org
I have a mixed opinion about the centre for small business financing (csbf). After applying to 6 different programs I was rejected from each for various reasons. This funding would have been essential to my business and without it I am still unable to finance the expansion I want. As frustrating as not being able to find any programs that approve me has been I do feel that the csbf did what it promised. The database provided me with a comprehensive list of all the funding programs that I “may” be able to get funding from. Unfortunately I have not found success yet but I am hoping that after a few tweaks to my business plan I will be able to be approved to at least one of the programs I found on the csbf site.
I only gave 3 stars because the truth is i know it’s not the csbf’s fault; but i am still searching for funding.
