What does IKR mean in texting?

Depending on what font you’re using IKR can often be confused with LKR. IKR unlike most of the text messages is an uncommon response to something you said to someone else. It’s not a common response however if you do a lot of texting or chatting you’re bound to run into someone who gives you an IKR response

IKR = I know Right

When someone first responded to me with “IKR” and first I thought “LKR” which I thought at the time was either “Like her” or “Liquor” turns out the meaning was I know right which is some thing I would never have guessed unless I had been told. How this term would be used in a text or chat conversation is for example I would say “Man Christina Aguilera really screwed up the national anthem last night and the person could respond with “IKR”. Not a commonly used term but chances are you will see more than once in a chat!
