Koodo vs Fido

Koodo vs. Fido

If given the option to choose Fido or Koodo I would go with Koodo. My reason simply put is Fido from my perspective wants users under contract. 2007 Christmas day I received Fido phone under a three year contract, I can tell you honestly that was the worst cell phone experience I’ve had in my entire life. Let me explain why.

The plan I got was I think free for the first three month or something like that I honestly can’t remember none the less I had problems with the plan within my first thirty days. When I said I wanted to cancel they (Fido) offered me 200 extra free minutes on my cell phone. Long story short like an idiot I took the bait. Now the thirty days past in which I can return the phone and this is where the trouble starts.

Long distance charges; When I had my bell plan which was a pay as you go plan I never paid long distance charges to call the places I call  within my local area that Fido charged me so within my first 3 month’s my bill equaled around $150. Not knowing this Fido cuts off my phone. In Fido’s defense they did send me text messages that I didn’t check and apparently they did call me and leave me messages. What I couldn’t believe with Fido is that they cut off my phone. I have excellent credit yet they cut off my cell phone for $150.

Ok whatever I pay them there little $150 and then I request to cancel their contract the fee $300 “holy $^#%” I am a person that HATE’s contracts yet I signed up for one with Fido and got burned serves me right. In case you were wondering the reason I left bell Canada at the time was because there reception was terrible no matter what phone I bought with Bell I had the same problem.

Koodo to the best of my knowledge has great pay as you go plans. In my opinion that’s the only way to go when it comes to cell phones. If you can’t pay your phone bill you don’t deserve to have a cell, and if you can pay your cell phone bill why bother signing a contract? Oh yea because you want to save money on the buying the cell phone? So instead you’ll lock yourself into a long term contract??? Whatever works for you works for you but between Fido and Koodo I choose Koodo.

I agree… I was with Fido and they totally sucked for the 3 years… Crappy customer service, tons of extra charges… crappy phones… What else can I Say… Koodo over Fido that’s a no brainer!
