Just like Maxime Bernier Predicted: Carbon tax must hit $210 per tonne by 2030 to meet Paris targets, report concludes – November 27, 2019,
It costs a lot of money to import energy into Canada by boat, the energy approach being taken by Justin Trudeau’s Liberals is honestly moronic. Canada’s Ecofiscal Commission was founded in 2014 and it basically wrote a report detailing what would need to be done in order for Canada to meet the Globalist inspired Paris Agreement. Basically the report echoed what Maxime Bernier said during the National Debates. If people don’t remember, the Yellow Vest movement in France began because the socialist French Government aggressively pursued their climate change targets and as per usual when people actually saw the real price tag they had to pay, the people reacted.
Income taxes are taken from your paycheck before you can spend it
Basically Canada’s Ecofiscal Commission concluded that although in the long term it will cost taxpayers more, politically it would make more sense if the Liberals hid their carbon tax scheme in some sort of financial wizardry that would allow the government to take more money from consumers via regressive taxation. It’s a similar process to how the government gets people to pay income taxes. You pay income taxes before you get your paycheck, the government does this because if people had to physically pay the government at the end of the year, the government spending would get curtailed immediately.
When consumers make a purchase they look to save money, that’s how things work in the real world, furthermore, if we had few taxes and fewer regulations and energy wasn’t centralized the way it is, there would be less Co2 because humans would be more consciously aware of how energy/electricity is created. For me, these globalist climate change schemes are extremely annoying because we’re on the edge of a clean energy revolution anyway. The only thing happening is the government wants to not only take credit for it but also wants to put a meter on it(change taxpayers more taxes to infinity). The new emerging energy economy is a lot less centralized, nuclear actually solves any pending energy crisis, but you see the more people learn about the fusion process, the less they’ll fall for these silly globalist climate change scams.
With that said, people in Canada are losing high paying public sector jobs and Trudeau’s plans which in reality will turn Canada into a service sector economy won’t generate the revenue anticipated as the higher-paying once secure private-sector jobs won’t be easily replaced. The key to a robust economy is the ability for a person to start entry-level and work up the economic ladder, adding job-killing barriers of regulation will make it harder for job creators to create jobs, even creating clean energy jobs in Canada is going to be a difficult process.
Furthermore, I’m not sure now is a good time to add more taxes to Western Canadians, sure Trudeau can attempt to do what he wants, but I’ve never seen Canada like this before. Being perfectly honest, if the West really wants out and if Western Canada actually grants support to a Western Separatist Party, I’ll move West. Quite frankly I’m tired of this, if I was born in Western Canada, I’d be pro-Wexit, as a matter of fact, I’d probably be a run for office under the Wexit banner, being that I’m an Ontarian, I’m simply waiting to see what Wexit looks like.
Because although I’ve my own ideas of what I’d like Wexit to look like, it’s not my place to determine what Western Canada wants. All I know is Trudeau better be careful with how he approaches sensitive issues, because what he should be fearful of is if something organic happens in Western Canada, Wexit is still reminiscent of Brexit, yes we’re still under the Monarchy but if something very distinctly Canadian comes out of Wexit that a large percentage of Western Canadians can relate too, WOW! Trudeau is sowing the seeds of division to appease his rich globalist buddies. Don’t forget about us little people Trudeau, because I remind you a lot of the people who voted for you in the last election, did so primarily because they trust the Liberal Brand!
