Mohela Student Loan Consolidation

Mohela Student Loan Consolidation

first of I would like to say it sickens me to see so many students coming out of school with in debt looking for jobs that aren’t there. We as a civilized society need to do something about this. Education for me is the only tax I wouldn’t mind paying. If i knew my tax dollar was being used to educate todays youth that’s a tax i would pay for from elementary all the way to university. If a child want’s to educate him or herself we all should be helping that child do that. Our current system is set up to exploit our youth in my opinion.

We shouldn’t even need services like Mohela. For those of you not aware Mohela is an abbreviation of Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority. To date they remain one of the largest nonprofit student loan secondary markets in the United States. They’ve been in business for over 20 years.

· People who have more than $7,500 in eligible student loan debt.

· If you are currently enrolled or have an “In School” status and have not used your grace period, in this event a early repayment letter is required.

· married couples may consolidate all of their eligible loans together into one consolidation loan.

Mohela is a parasite on the student loan process. this company has been charged with every scam known to student loans and continues to do business. One of their known practices is to get a student that is not in the greatest credit shape and have him/her get a credible co-signer. therein begins the trouble. Not for the student–the cosigner. If the student mises ONE single payment or is over ten days later–for any reason at all, MOHILLA will hit the cosigners TRW, Experian and any other credit reporting agency possible. MOHILLA will NOT remove this negative report no matter how hard the cosigners tries to get them to do this. they are inflexible and absolutely arragant. The negative report stays on the TRW report of over eight years. To add to the problem, MOHILLA reports to the TRW credit agency TWICE with different account numbers so the cosigner now has TWO negative reports to confront. These people are bottom feeders and no one should be caught in their web.

One other issue is that if you are in a problem where you do not have a co-signer then you may really need to try to exhaust all of your money for college options. You can get many grants or loans and other scholarship grants that will provide you with funding to help you with college expenses. Many thanks for the post.
