What does NYT mean in texting?

In most circles especially in New York I can imagine NYT means the New York times. But when asked what does this mean in text or an online chat conversation this acronym has a different meaning. It should be noted by the reader that this is not a commonly used term by most people so don’t be surprised if the person you’re chatting with has no idea what you’re talking about.

NYT = Not Your Type 

NYT is usually in response to something however there are multiple ways you can use this in a text conversation. One person might say in the middle of a conversation “I thought she was beautiful but from what you wold me shes NYT” or someone might respond to someone by saying “NYT of car I know you prefer black cars” Like I said there are multiple ways to use NYT. It’s not that popular so don’t be surprised if the person you’re texting has no clue what NYT means.
