The Canadian real estate market is going to get more and more weird, as long as the market doesn’t crash or correct it will continue to get more and more weird as politicians make promise after promise and continue to regulate it. The problem with real estate all over Canada is the regulations. The bottomline is, in Canada if you’re a believer that the free market doesn’t work, well the truth is, the free market could have created the real estate disasters that we’re experiencing today.
The best thing about the free market is that the taxpayer for the most part wouldn’t be as responsible as they are now if this housing market crashed. Because in a free market atmosphere, if the housing market crashes thee would be buyers to clean up the mess. In this real estate market, the market can’t crash, and the people that will pay to prop it up are the taxpayers.
Again if there’s a crash, it will lead to a collapse and the truth with Canadian politicians is they’re simply waiting for someone to blame.
