Public Servants Don’t Work For Free, The cost of the Senate is more expensive because of current Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau – November 15, 2019,
Although the reality appears to be different, especially when you understand that in Canada food bank usage is on the rise especially with single people, the data from 2017 suggests that poverty was declining?
The problem is for those of us who are charitable with our time and our money, the numbers don’t seem to match with the reality. The reality is that the cost of living in Canada is making Canadians pick and choose what to spend money on. It’s important to understand that energy costs are artificially high, via Trudeau’s government and although there are subsidies in place, the private sector has deemed that Justin Trudeau’s policies are sketchy for business.
It’s not to say that Canada has a horrible business atmosphere, but it’s not favorable one and private businesses don’t want to invest too much in fears they might get attacked by a Left-wing government hoping to get more votes. Being that Trudeau is growing the size of government, which by the way has helped is job numbers, it’s the long term effects that are worrying to investors. Ok, let’s imagine that Canada wants to go green for the government? That’s all well and good, the problem, however, is what is Justin Trudeau’s direction? Blocking Western Canadian pipeline projects is one thing, but is Canada going to dissolve into a nation dependent on importing energy to sustain itself? Because transportation costs will begin to rise to this as the Canadian dollar is put into question.

The Loonie, after all, is a petrodollar and if Canada is no longer viewed as an energy powerhouse, I’m not entirely sure what will happen to the Loonie, because Canadians are also in record amounts of debt and most public servants in Canada have paychecks that keep up with inflation, meaning that even if the loonie deflates, the cost to subsidize Canada’s public sector will not diminish, public servants will get their pay raises and the private sector will be left paying the bills.
The Problem I see with Jason Kenney Conservatives approach to Justin Trudeau and Leftists, in general,
I’ve always viewed the Conservative Party approach to Left-Wingers as strange, their soft approach from my perspective doesn’t challenge the thinking of hardworking Canadians, and it’s because of the Conservative approach to politics which allows Leftism to grow in Eastern Canada. The Left long ago drew a line in the sand, Quebec basically said we’re going to use the threat of independence to grow the welfare state of Canada. Well, it worked and to me, it doesn’t appear that Conservatives and Western Canadians got the memo.
The Conservative Party of Canada refuses to talk about shrinking the size of Government and it’s because of this refusal why ordinary Canadians have a hard time understanding Conservaitvsm. Losing an election is one thing, but not getting your message across is another. The Conservatives also like the growing the size of government, the difference is the Conservatives want to grow the size of government for their own reasons and this, of course, is why voters, in Canada as is the case in America tend to vote Left.
Now personally I don’t agree with Leftism, but if people can grow the size of government without deficit spending or without bankrupting the nation, then why shouldn’t they, the issue, the problem however is there reaches a point of no return when the government has become so large that the private sector can not grow in Canada. One growth opportunities in Canada are minimal, it’s at this stage, the inevitable crash occurs and the crash I’m talking about is crippling because it won’t be easily understood by the masses, who put their truth and faith in the Government. Trudeau is leading us down this path in small increments and the worst part of all is that the Conservatives haven’t talked about it much.
Public sector workers don’t work for free, private companies have the option to leave or to refuse to grow. I personally know of a lot of business owners who are content keeping their businesses small, why? Because growing their business, like working overtime hours puts them in a different tax bracket and leaves them wide open to more scrutiny by the government. The oil patch in Albert shrinks and remains stagnant while public sector debts soar, I do hope Canadians understand that if Western Canada starts to suffer, we all have a huge problem on our hands, all of this Trudeau excessive spending might not seem like much now, but when it’s clear that the deficit can’t be repaid, well, let’s hope for the best!
