TheLadders.com Review – Is it a scam?
TheLadders.com is a job database that doesn’t just promise to help you find a job but to also get a job. By signing up with TheLadders, you get the chance to connect with 15,942 employers and recruiters.
The website acts the same way as other job databases. It acts as an aggregate, listing all the jobs found online. However, unlike other job board sites, TheLadders doesn’t just offer a job search, it offers other helpful resources to job seekers.
More about TheLadders
The website features resources like resume building, career services, and one-on-one career planning. It also has articles about career services and understanding resume and interview strategies.
TheLadders.com offers 3 types of membership: Basic, Premium, and the Signature Program. The Basic Membership which will give you a feel of what it’s like on TheLadders is free of charge. With the Premium Membership, you get full site access, connect with thousands of employers, and improve your resume at a price set at $25 for 1 month. The Signature Membership which costs $2,495 for 6 months covers the services under Premium Membership with one-on-one career planning, personalized 10 step plan, and a job offer guarantee.
Final thoughts on TheLadders.com
While the TheLadders works almost the same way as other job databases, it sets itself apart from the rest with its types of membership. The promise of getting a job or get your money back guarantee under their Signature Membership is enticing but the cost it entails is too much for a typical job seeker.
If you are not ready to invest such an amount, you still can enjoy the services of TheLadders by getting the Basic Membership.

I am a recent Ladders customer of their “Signature Service/Guarantee Program”. In short, the biggest disappoint I’ve experienced in a long time. Resume service not good (slow, poor), the advisor never did what he said he was going to do and never returned repeated email messages.
Thanks for your comment hopefully it will help others to leave more comments
I didn’t sign up for a paid membership but still, one guy there helped me improve my resume for free. I thought that was really nice. When do you ever get something for free these days?
@Ladders_Customer – Your comment was really helpful. I’ve been researching this and can not find any real customer freedback; only headhunters complaining about the approach in their blogs and marketing on The Ladders site. I’d like to know more about your experience. Did you get a job ofer? Was it what you wanted? If not, did you get your money back?
