WhiteHatJr.com Review Is It a Scam?
So if you came across the WhiteHatJr platform and you have kids you definitely saw the value in it. After taking the White Hat Jr trial found at WhiteHatJr.com I conclude that it’s not a scam, however, it’s a little too expensive for my liking.
My children learn to code, but they use Codecademy Pro because daddy uses it. They’re far more advanced than my old ass could ever be, because they’re into video games and other things, that I honestly do not understand.
But, when it comes to coding I introduced my children to it, primarily because I want them all to have a basic foundation for engineering. I find when children are introduced to basic engineering they’re creative faculties are expanded more quickly and it’s easier for them to breeze through school.
Coding in many ways reminds me of algebra and with algebra, what tends to happen is once you get that itch and comprehension of how everything fits, skies the limit. I only bring this up because of the WhiteHatJr price tag.
What I pay for one year at Codecademy Pro you’d be paying a month at White Hat Jr. No let me point out that at White Hat Jr they have superior one on one support, but my kids Google everything, in fact after about 6 months at Codecademy Pro my kids tend to be on every single coding forum related to gaming.
So although initially Codecademy Pro was for them, I now use it more than they do. Coding is a language and in my opinion, once a child masters Javascript as an example, Python and every other coding language becomes a lot easier for them.
I think White Hat Jr is legit and not a scam based on my reviews, my only problem with them is their price tag, my kids go to private school and that price tag rivals the cost of their private school, in fact, I can find private tutors for that price.
I’m in Canada and I just can’t get over their pricing, that’s the only reason I’m writing this, I’m also a member if Udemy, although Udemy I’d say is more for adults, my kids have used Udemy also. So although White Hat Jr is legit their cost won’t allow me to recommend them.
It’s rare that I even mention Codecademy Pro on this blog, but I’m irritated with all of these schemes I’m seeing being promoted on Youtube lately, which I feel like are price-gouging consumers. Yes, I know a person can pay per class at White Hat Jr, but even those prices I find rather pricey.
Everything available at White Hat Jr can be found for free, sure they make it more kid-friendly, but I can’t see myself paying that much money ONLINE for my children to learn to code, I’ve spent less on a private tutor who came to my home. If you can afford White Hat Jr give them a try, but I won’t be recommending it at this time.
