Recently, Canadian discount airline Lynx Air was forced to close its doors, primarily because SOCIALISTS believe in ONE SIZE FITS ALL solutions to everything. It’s hard to operate anything “discount” related in Canada because the SOCIALISTS believe in one-size-fits-all solutions, which equates to DRIVING UP THE COST of doing business.
If you listen to the video below, Canadian Transport Minister Pablo Rodriguez uses the word “Harmonizing” to describe his socialist view of how the airline industry should operate.
One of the reasons the FEDERAL government should be kept small, is because you can’t control what happens in other COUNTRIES, even if you’re successful at doing something in Canada, other countries, namely undeveloped countries, reliant on their travel and tourism industries may not be so accommodative, as they might not have the resources to do so.
It’s not to say we can’t do better as a global society and look out for minority groups, but useless fines to virtue signal won’t do much to change the reality; if this is a problem for people who have disabilities, this is one area, in which the OPPOSITE of fines, might make sense.
Because this Trudeau government is so WASTEFUL, the one time when maybe a subsidy of sorts might make sense, Trudeau’s cabinet takes the opposite approach. This, to me, would qualify for investigating if PRIVATE DONATIONS or even a government subsidy could help the disabled qualify for airlines that can cater to their needs.
Personally, I think the global donations community would be better suited to deal with this, but we’re so far from getting back to REAL CHARITIES that even I can’t see that working in 2024
Transport Minister Pablo Rodriguez says Canadian airlines are ‘doing better’ on meeting the needs of travellers with disabilities — but he noted that issues remain and fines are a possibility for airlines that don’t achieve accessibility.
There are airlines that can cater to the disabled, but because the disabled are a small market, this would be an area that I believe society could support overall. Unlike WASTEFUL ideas like ESG Carbon taxes and other government programs where TRILLIONS of dollars are being wasted, this is an area that most humans would be sympathetic toward. Now, this doesn’t mean that disabled can get an advantage over society, however it would mean, that the disabled may qualify for premium travel out of necessity.
With that said, if their preferred destination can’t meet their expectations, that’s no longer a CANADA issue. It’s not Canada’s job to BULLY other nations to meet the needs of OUR disabled communities but if we’re talking about strictly Canadian airports, then this is the one area, in which donations to the disabled should be considered, and by donations, I mean if an airplane ticket typically costs $350, but because the disabled person requires special accommodations IN CANADA and only premium airlines can accommodate those needs, then consideration for matching the difference in price should be considered.
Now, when I say this, I can already see the abuse happening, which is why the PRIVATE community should be in charge of administrating it, because, as per usual, you will get people with MINOR disabilities claiming the subsidy to save money on premium travel.
If the government is in charge of administering any subsidy, it will become a political issue, and then before you know it, EVERYONE starts identifying as “disabled.” and ALL airlines have to cater to the needs of the disabled.
This is my problem with Trudeau’s cabinet is that they’re so incompetent that we can’t even have honest conversations about helping those in need without it being political. I genuinely want everything “Trudeau” related to go away so we can start having ADULT conversations again.
Interesting times ahead!
