The Decline of Fossil Fuels is the Decline of Canadian Health Care: Clinic 554 turns down 30 transgender patients because of uncertain future – March 5, 2020,
Because of Canada embraces Universal Health Care, it’s often ignored as to how it’s financed. Administered provincially, Canada’s public health care is heavily reliant on tax collection. Real taxes aren’t taxes collected by public servants, income taxes collected by public servants are basically that have already been collected from the Private Sector. The public sector isn’t in the business of making money.
Your local police force is not a for-profit business, the public sector is a beneficiary of the wealth derived from the Private Sector and if a country decides to embrace Universal health care, the citizens of this country should be able to comprehend how public sector bills are paid. In both America and Canada, health care costs are inflated because of regulations. In order to do this or that health care business in Canada or America, those health care practices have to be qualified by the government. This qualification process equates to fewer people wanting to practice health care in both Canada and America.
However in Canada, unlike America, what tends to happen is particular industries won’t even exist, because the cost to entry is way too expensive and could potentially be illegal, whereas in America, it’s not so much that a particular health practice is illegal it’s just the government regulators will make the cost to do a medical procedure extremely expensive. So, the problem Canada’s health care system is facing in Canada’s future without fossil fuels is lack of financing to health care, because Canadians often forget about where the Equalization payments money goes to.
Equalization payments that often come from Alberta, go to the Public Sectors of the have-not provinces. New Brunswick is usually a Have-Not-Province. Being that Canada’s private fossil fuel companies contribute the most to Canada’s public sector, it’s important to understand that if Canadians wants to phase out the tar-sands, I hope Canadians understand the consequences of this action.
As an investor, I have to tell the reader, the tech sector is extremely competitive, technology revolves around driving prices down, which equates to fewer taxes collected, the tech sector is actually deflationary, not inflationary and if the sector every became inflationary, innovation would come to a halt, which also would be bad for tax collection. Energy, on the other hand, even during downturns requires income tax-paying HUMANS.
I only bring this up because of Clinic 554 in New Brunswick which focuses on reproductive, trans*, LGBT/Queer care is finding it hard to find financing and is, therefore, turning away patients. Now, the problem with socialism, just so people are aware, is that without a profit motive even the nicest people will close their business. The government wants it’s cut of profits regardless if your business is profitable or not! Nobody is going to voluntarily work for Ceasar when Ceasar also has an option not to work and collect welfare!
If working is a choice under socialism, many people will opt not to work. If the assumption is that the government will take care of me whether I work or I don’t work, large numbers of people will not work! Let me also present to you the notion of a person working in a cozy government office, rather than working outdoors in -20 degree celsius weather for the same exact pay, which job would you choose? Well, in socialism where the government works to control the economic outcomes, eventually humans stop working as hard.
Well in Canada, lucky for us we have Western Canada, namely Alberta and Saskatchewan in which these great Canadians get overly taxed and are still willing to do the heavy lifting for the Canadian economy while Canada’s public sector benefits. Now, that Canada’s economic engine is under attack, and could be potentially phased out, get used to the story you can read below, because it will become more common as the NDP, The Greens and The Lib-Cons phase out Canada’s prospering energy sector!
